Clips/Blazers Wrap-Up

Didn't see the game.

The guy I share season tickets with won the car in the raffle.  The presentation was last night, so I gave him the tickets.

Didn't watch on TV either.  Frankly, I forgot until right now that it was my turn to recap.

Here is the important thing:  the Clippers won a game they needed to win.  There were no let-ups or let-downs.

An inferior team came in, and the Clips pounded them.  Pedal to the metal for 48 minutes.  No 3rd Qtr. collapses (someone recently asked what the heck the Clippers do at halftime.  It reminded me of ClipperSteve's post about the Clippers playing better on back to backs because Dunleavy doesn't have the extra day to gsme plan and freak them out. I think MDSr. makes them neurotic.)

They get another chance against a bad team with Sac on Sunday. Then it's off to Phoenix.

As mentioned earlier, it remains to be seen what mind frame the Suns are going to be in Tuesday.  Will they rest guys and give the Clips a pass?  Or  will they still be fighting off the Spurs?  Do they worry that they Clippers could slide up into the 7th spot and face them Round 1?

NOOCH is not officially eliminated yet, either.  If they are still on the bubble Wednesday, expect a tough match up.

It's nice to control your destiny.  It would be nice if GSW could drop one, though.
