Trade is done

The Clippers' proposed trade with the New York Knicks has gone through, a source close to the team said Tuesday afternoon. The Clippers traded Cuttino Mobley and Tim Thomas to the New York Knicks for Zach Randolph and Mardy Collins.

The deal had hit a snag Monday night, when New York raised questions about the condition of Mobley's heart.

The knicks had Mobley undergo additional testing Tuesday and signed off on the deal shortly thereafter.

Honestly, I really wasn't worried.  It as just the Knicks being pricks about it.

Auto-Refresh?

Do you have Ramona’s blog on Auto-Refresh or something?

I don’t know what to think about the trade now. There’s some excitement, and also a sense of foreboding. I’m pretty sure that we should look into trading Paul Davis for a wing player at this point.

To carry the “Big 3” plus 3 Back up bigs is too much, especially if we’re gonna try to develop DeAndre.

Paul Davis has no trade value.

Might as well use Mardy Collins….that’s about all we’d get for Paul Davis on the open market.

Why is Josh Powell on the Lakers?

He’s on the best team in the league and isn’t that good, probably worse than Davis(3) just because of depth.

Haha

I’m in front of the comp all day long so I’m always checking for Clips info. Plus, I knew the news would come before 3:30.

Nobody wants Paul Davis. That guy is horrible. He’s lucky we even gave him a contract.

I’m still lukewarm about the trade, but honestly, can it really get worse? We’re losing every way possible. OT, blowouts, nail-biters, etc.

Btw I think Mardy Collins will actually be a good addition to the team. Smart player, doesn’t jack up shots and plays tough D.

From what I'm hearing...

Mardy does more with his offensive game than he really should, but I think we’ll all welcome a defensive minded backup at the wing, hopefully he can play some 3 as well.

there is talks about kaman for jrich, but if anything i would rather trade camby because he is more injury proned, but also, j rich is coming off a knee injury so who knows, sounds like baron is trying to get his players

I would never trade Kaman and Camby

we have to keep one of them and I would rather keep Kaman. He seems to be getting better every year and the sky is the limit for him.

Yup, Sky is the Limit

for Kaman, when he continues to shoot airballs when he’s inches around the basket.

i think it would be better to trade camby than kaman, kaman is the future, camby is really good but getting older and injury prone

Does this mean MDsr will slow down the offense

since our Big 3 will be in there? Or will we still be runnin&gunnin (ahahahhaha…even i had to laugh at that one!)?

ZBo can be a decent 6th man

Its not too outrageous for a PF/C to have a effective “6th Man” impact. The first year Brad Miller was in Sacto, Vlade and Webber were still around…he was a pretty good 6th man. Clips have a relatively weak bench scoring-wise…it wouldn’t hurt to have a scorer like ZBo around.

With that said, now we have 3 quality PF/C’s around, will we ever see DeAndre Jordan on the court this year? Probably not.

I love LAC.

i thoroughly think this is what

causes kids who come into the nba with “issues” to become even bigger problems for teams…riding the pine gives lots of time for your mind to wonder about what you club you’ll be hittin’ up around 2am…

That's Why Jordan Needs to Play in the D-League

Then we could find out if what we have in him, and he could get some PT and hopefully develop. He’ll probably become a wasted pick otherwise.
