Cat's Last Game Ever?

I just heard that Cat may not play for the Knicks because of his heart issue. That can only mean the last game he played for the Clips, which was a very good one for him, may have been the last game of his career! I can't imagine how this could have happened, since he played for the Clips this year and had no problems.

He had a very good career in the NBA. He could have been a perennial all star if he were more consistent, but he was a very underrated defensive player.

Bring him back then

Clippers need a backup 2/defensive specialist.

Get me BD and 75 and I'm in

LOL - agree

I wonder if insurance issues might prevent it

And I doubt MDSr would use him as a backup

It's a no-brainer

Of course, the Knicks would first have to waive him. And NBA rules stipulate that he’d have to wait longer to join the Clippers than any other team.

I doubt it’s true, but even if it is, he’ll land on a different team before the Clippers.

Mobley's heart condition.

I don’t know what it is, but it hasn’t kept him from playing. Not this year, not ever. But if this condition keeps him from suiting up for the Knicks, does that mean they’ll waive him, or file him under medical retirement? If it’s the latter, does that keep him from playing with any team in general? If it’s the former, wouldn’t Mobley want to take his services to a team in playoff contention?

Whatever it is, I wish him the best. Blanket still has plenty of game left.

He's probably pissed at Dunleavy.

He seemed pretty upset that he got traded.

30 days

if he gets waived by the knicks he can’t sign back with us until 30 days after the waive. Hopefully this happens because if it does we will have a complete team.

I doubt it will be his last game

I think the knicks GM is trying to save his reputation. He tried to make a big deal out of cats heart issue to get another pick. The clippers called his bluff. Now that the deal is done and they didn’t get another pick, he’s just trying to say “Hey, I really wasn’t sure about his heart.” and not “Hey, I’m a dishonest dealer that threatens other teams and tries to change a deal after we agree to it”
