Another Coach Bites the Dust....
Seems like a slaughtering of coaches this season...
Theus is no longer the Kings coach, Per yahoo sports.
"The Sacramento Kings fired coach Reggie Theus on Monday morning, a league source told Yahoo! Sports.
Assistant coach Kenny Natt was named the interim coach. Another assistant, Chuck Person, was fired with Theus.
The Kings are believed to be intrigued with bringing former Kings coach Eddie Jordan back to Sacramento, but it’s most likely they’ll wait until the end of the season to pursue him. The Kings had lost 10 of 11 games and are in last place in the Pacific Division at 6-18."

The Clippers kill another
They didn’t play, but slipping past the Clippers to last in the division is enough to undo competitive play with the Lakers I guess. That doesn’t happen without the Clippers’ back-to-back success.
I wonder if the Kings miss Adelman?
Get me BD and 75 and I'm in
I'd bet they do
He brought them to the playoffs year after year after year
What exactly do they expect in Sacto with that roster?
Their leading scorer has barely played.
Another puzzling firing.
F-Elton!
We probably won't know
because these decisions are made behind the scenes by the owners and the GM. Perhaps they didn’t like the way the team was performing, the mesh with the coach, etc.
I agree...
the timing is particularly puzzling. I figured the two Lakers games (one win, one respectable loss) would have bought him some time. Losing by 24 at home to the Knicks obviously didn’t help.
The whole ‘interim’ thing, with 58 games left, just seems like a disaster. A placeholder coach for 58 games? Can an organization that desperately needs to get better afford to do that?
‘Look, I know the share price is dropping. Here’s what we’ll do. We’ll fire the CEO now. But it’s a bad time to hire a new CEO, so we’re just going to have this guy run it for awhile. That should fix the share price.’

Theus wasn't getting along with the Maloofs
By all reports they haven’t been on the same page in awhile. The Kings are in a tough spot, poor local economy, outdated stadium, the outlook is pretty gloom there.
