Grizzlies sign forward Darius Miles
Just a quick coda on the D-Miles story.
Last week the Clippers brought their former lottery pick in for a look see. I suggested at the time that a team like the Grizzlies or the Thunder, a team with cap space in 2009, had a double incentive to sign him, since he might be able to help them and it would limit the competition in next summer's free agent market since Portland's cap space could take a hit. Well, guess what?
I posted in September about the comeback attempts of Miles and Livingston. It's interesting that they are the Clippers two highest draft picks in recent memory, and both are now trying to revive their careers after potentially career-ending injuries. I wish the best for both of them.
It's also interesting to see the ongoing accumulation of former Clippers in Memphis. Miles is the second small forward they've signed to a non-guaranteed minimum contract this year after Q Ross. And of course Marko Jaric was part of the Mayo-Love trade. Maybe they can work a trade for Chris Wilcox.

Not to be mean or offensive or anything
but seriously, is building up a group of ex-Clippers really the way to go? I mean, I know the Grizzlies have been bad, but still…
It goes without saying
Which is why I didn’t say it.

Okay, was just wondering.
I wonder if the Warriors might be able to impress them in Corey Maggette… I hear that experiment hasn’t been going to well for them.
Since we’re always rebuilding with Clipper players I’d have to agree.

What about the Lakers?
They rebuilt with some Clipper players (O’dumb, Vlad Rad, and Powell).. They don’t seem to have any problems winning.. Oh wait, their coaching situation.. ahhhhh.. LOL
