It's official...
Well, it's official, Al Thornton is the second coming of our beloved Corey Maggette ... Minus the ability to get to the free throw line ... And minus the ability to make his free throws when they count ... And minus the ability to rebound effectively when motivated.
Oh, and in case anyone is wondering, that does not bode well for the Clippers.
People thought Z Bo was a black hole. False. The only real black hole on this team is big Al. I can't tell if he's lazy or just doesn't care anymore.

I'm sorry...
What are you basing this on? What made it official?

At least 6 times a game, Al will catch on the wing, jab step for about 4 seconds, tempt us with his ability to get to the bucket, then rise up and shoot a jumper that may or may not go in without so much as a glance at a teammate. Look, I love the guy, and think he can become a 20 ppg guy, but that’s never gonna happen unless his bad habits change. It may just be a case of low basketball IQ, but he’s becoming more one-dimensional rather than expanding his game. The 3 he hit against Indiana was huge, but let’s be honest, you all had the same reaction as I did.. “NO WAY… WOW, YESSSSS!” Those were literally my words as he took/made the shot. Even Corey hit a couple game winners, so that doesn’t automatically elevate him above Maggs status… yet.

So...
SPOILERS
For hitting that 3, is he in or out of the doghouse? He can’t be Corey. Corey would have tried to draw a foul and ended up looking foolish.

Ah
Another opportunity to take a cheap shot at a guy who gave his all to the Clippers for years.
John R – once again, have you ever actually played organized basketball?

How is it a cheap shot?
When the Clippers needed him more than ever, dude tried to jump into his defender instead of taking the shot. Seems like a fair criticism.
Why would you try to make this about me? Because you have absolutely nothing to refute me with, but you can’t help chiming in anyway?
Let me help you out: argumentum ad hominem

al definitely worries me
i wanna give the guy the benefit of the doubt, but i do worry sometimes. i want al to stop settling for jump shots, and some more passing would not hurt.
hopefully these are things that Al will learn to do. he is only in his second year. either way, let’s continue the momentum!

at least he can hit the jump shots
but yeah Al is much better when he is running into the pain as opposed to sitting outside and taking jump shots. But still he showed he is a good player tonight and made the most important shot of the night.

Totally different players
I believe they are totally different players. Corey was a good servant to the Clips but on offence would take poor 3 shots and most of the time drive to the hoop. Al in only in his 2nd year and is still being very successful on his drive and then pull up jump shot. He is far and away better than Corey was at the start of his second year.
Al is developing nicely but does need to develop his passing ability and also his commitment when driving to the basket. The skills are there, the confidence isn’t always.

think people
you guys keep saying hes becoming one dimensional but after all of that everyone says “Just drive to the basket” hmm that doesn’t sound one dimensional at all?

Al is much better than Corey.
Please don’t base your opinions on a bad season for the team. Back this up after one of Al’s 25 point performances.
