Cassell for Coach

Regardless of how you feel about the circumstances in which he left the team last year, how do you feel Sam Cassell would be as the Clippers coach. He stated in an interview a couple of days ago that it would be a dream job for him.

I liked the swagger that Sam gave the team and he has a pretty high basketball IQ. (except for that 8 second count against the Suns).

He could also be had fairly cheap due to his lack of coaching experience and could provide a long needed new direction for the team.

experience would be good

although I would take him over Dunleavy I would rather have him as an assistant coach. I think that you need some sort of experience in coaching, whether its NBA or college, to be a good coach. It is not all about attitude, although Sam’s swagger would be a great addition to the team. Overall I would take him but I would rather he be an assistant coach and we hire a more experienced coach say an Eddie Jordan.

dunleavy is wasting our time

As a 5+ year Clippers fan, and only 1 really successful year I do think it’s time for a change. Dunleavy’s offensive system is non existent where they do the same low screen for randolph so he can catch it on the wing and have baron stand on the 3 point line the whole game without letting him play like he did when he was on Golden State (what i consider is when he was at his best). Sterling has plenty of money so let’s drop Dunleavy hire Cassell for coach, to give us swagger, and a completely better system where we have more than 1 play

p.s. good post dad ^

definitely needs some experience.

He probably would be a better coach than Dunleavy, but I think that we shouldn’t make a hasty decision just because of our current displeasure with him. Let him be an assistant so he can learn the ropes, and then take over when Dunleavy’s contract is up.

Cassell definitely as a coach

An also, why not Mobley as assistant?

after this embarassing loss to dallas by 22 is it time to pull the trigger finally. Yeah, it was nice seeing Cuttino at the game

Cassell + Mobley as Coach and Assistant Coach

Maybe even Kim Hughes. Remember how fun the game was when Kim Hughes was coaching?

I think Dunleavy has the passion and wants the Clips to win, unfortunately he lacks the flexibility to coach.
