Clippers SIgn Fred Jones
The Los Angeles Clippers today signed free agent shooting guard Fred Jones. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not released.
A six-year NBA veteran, Jones played 70 games with the Knicks last season, averaging 7.6 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 25.1 minutes. The Clippers will be the fifth NBA team for Jones, who has appeared in 378 total games and is averaging 7.5 points, 2.2 rebounds and 2.1 assists in his NBA career.
Fred Jones won the 2004 NBA All-Star Slam-Dunk Contest.

Yeah, I remember the dunk contest.
He became pretty popular after that, but he never did all that much in any actual game. Hopefully, he’ll be a good role player for the Clips. We definitely need some depth, and a 7.5 career ppg scorer sounds good on paper, but you never know what’ll happen when the Clipper jersey goes on.

Good signing
He’s a proven rotation player in the NBA. We needed some offense off the bench and he is able to provide that.
I actually met him waiting in line to go to Body English (the Club at the Hard Rock in Vegas). Nice guy, didn’t even have a entourage as he was alone. Dwyane Wade showed up later with a much larger entourage.
BTW, anyone know how the VIP cards NBA, MLB, and NFL players flash to get into places work?
