Cuttino Update
Another hat tip to Ramona Shelburne for being all over this.
Definitely did NOT see this coming. I hope Cat is ok. He was a consumate pro and stand up veteran while on the Clips, and appreciate everything he did while on the team. He was always classy, and a good dresser as well. Hopefully, this is nothing serious, or at the very least can be controlled by medicine. If he has played his last basketball, his final game will have been in a Clipper uni too.

wow this is sad and ironic
it is sad to hear about Mobley’s health problems he has always been professional even in the darkest days in clippers nation. And ironic that this trade may have saved his life by finding this problem before it becomes worse.
Perhaps he's lucky he was traded when he was
Could that have saved his life?
Cat's heart...
One thing you can say about Cat was that he earned every dollar of his contract. He left it all on the floor and you never question his efforts. He might have had bad games and he might be a ball stopper, but he was a worker. Sadly, his symbolic heart might have been bigger than his real one.
Cat and Pike are probably the two Clippers that embody the franchise best…
Cat
I was flabbergasted when the Clips signed him for so much and for so long. But he quickly won me over. There was no one more passionate about winning and being a team player than Cat during his tenure with the Clips. He was a leader and a good guy.
I won’t soon forget the duels against Kobe, Dirk-Stopper, or his clapping foul. He wasn’t the perfect player, but he truly gave a shit. And that counts more than talent and skills in my book.
Best of luck Cat.
Cat helped change the culture in the locker room
He and Cassell set a different standard than what had previously existed around this franchise.

according to New York Daily news
Mobley may be forced to retire due to health issues.

so this may be the end to what was a pretty good career for Mobley. And it is a sad one indeed.
I wish him well
I’ve followed him from when he was a rookie in Houston, part of a dynamic backcourt with Stevie Franchise in Houston to his time here. He always came to play and used the fact that was a 2nd round pick as a chip on his shoulder.
I saw him in front of Tao in Vegas a couple of years ago and he was very friendly and down to earth. I hope he can continue his career after getting proper treatment but more importantly that he fares well in life after basketball.
