Durant ROY - Thornton Fourth
In a vote with all the suspense of the elections in Russia, Kevin Durant was named the NBA's Rookie of the Year. Al Thornton of the Clippers finished fourth in the voting, getting 1 second place vote and 27 third place votes.
It's hard to argue with Thornton's final placement. Durant and Horford and Scola all played very well, and Horford and Scola are still in the playoffs. Furthermore, given that Durant was picked second and Horford third and Scola wasn't even in this draft, it just solidifies Thornton's status as the steal of the draft.

Seems about right
Its good that he able to, uh, eclipse, uh, Moon and the others who had hype and get some recognition.

I like how ATL's chumpy coach freaked out becuase Horford was 2nd
The guy averaged 10 and 9…big whoop. How about EB’s 20 & 10?
The only rookies to avg. 20 ppg in the last 10 years (I think): EB, LBJ, Durant
