bucks might trade redd

http://my.journaltimes.com/post/woelfel-world-of-sports/bucks_check_out_their_options_.html

It says the bucks are looking to deal redd to "upgrade" their small forward position. Corey Maggette will definitely be an upgrade from the trash of small forwards they have down there. and we get the shooter we have dreamed about for a long time in redd. I know it will have to be more complicated than redd for maggette, but if the bucks are serious about getting an upgrade at small forward a 22ppg scorer might be their best option

It's a possibility

Mason and Simmons have been bad to terrible for the Bucks. If they trade Redd, they definitely need a scorer in return. So Maggette is probably the most obvious candidate if they’re serious. Who else is there? Deng and Iguodala will both cost more, and probably aren’t available at any rate. Maggette is available, and fits their needs.

To make the math work, either Thomas or Mobley would have to be packaged with Maggette. Actually, Maggette and Mobley for Redd is pretty intriguing, if the Bucks really want to shake things up. They get two starters for a guy they want to discard. And the Clippers get the perimeter scorer they need.

IMO

Calderon >>> Redd.

One thing for sure...

Calderon is cheaper than Redd. I agree that I’d rather do a Calderon deal, for lots of reasons. But if it doesn’t happen (and as I’ve pointed out, it will be ridiculously complicated), Redd is an interesting possibility. And Ralph loves the lefties.

The Price for Redd

I like Redd, but I think the price for him is too high.. His contract is RIDICULOUS, for the production that he gives..

Milwaukee made a HUGE mistake signing Simmons to that big contract.

Hard to think of a better fit than Redd offensively

Plays NO defense, and doesn’t address PG, but it gives the team other things it needs.

Would proably have to include the 7th pick, or swap picks.

Maggette, Mobley and 7th for Redd and the Bucks pick? Not bad.

If that's the case...

I think they should send Charlie V, as well.. but we will seriously lack depth at PG and SG…

Kaman – Fazekas – Davis
Brand – Thomas – Powell
Thornton – Villanueva – M Williams
Redd – Ross
Livingston – Westbrook – Knight
