Linda Cohn Said It, So It Must Be True - Baron Davis is a Clipper

Citizen mikey p was already all over this in a FanPost with Jonathon Abrams' LA Times story.  Marc Stein also has the story on ESPN.com.

Baron Davis and the Clippers have reached a verbal agreement.

I'll get this thread up for comments.  Meanwhile, I'll start working on another post.

Oh Yeah.

All hail EB and BD. Let the reign of Clipper Nation begin.

sign dan dickau

davis has had injury problems, so has brevin knighr and so has livingston… we need a backup to backup the backups… one that doesn’t cost anything but can run the offense.

I’m so happy the clippers finally pulled one off, but i dont want to jump up and down yet.

we’re clipper fans… waiting for bad news… somewhere. lol

Classic

Yeah, that’s the first thing I was thinking too: now that the Clips have BD, they should definitely sign Dickau.

LOL

I’m liking your Livingston idea better.

Say it ain't so, Stuckey!

I hardly knew ye.

And with both Maggette and QRoss gone, I’m curious about what Jax and John R are going to argue about. Somehow I think there will be something, but what was it CS’ yoga teacher told us? Living in the now.

Baron Davis Clipper jersey will look pretty good up on the wall next to his Bruin jersey and his Crossroads jersey. (Which reminds me, I have to send the check to Crossroads for the zhivson today. You knew zhiv is a Crossroads parent, right?) You know, if I was a jersey guy. Will probably just grow out the beard instead.

Wow.

YES!!!

A good day in clipperland. It is great when a dream comes true.

Davis seemed to turn the injury corner in GS. Hopefully he will be healthy.

With BD, knight & Shawn, there will be less minutes pressed on any of them and should help them stay healthier. Also, we have our 2nd rounder, Taylor. That gives us 4 PGs. Don’t think we need another PG now.

Maggette

Here’s to his service as a Clipper. I will miss him.

Go East Corey. Do not go to the Jazz.

Hopefully he can squeeze a nice deal out of Philly, who will come up empty this year. Even a nice one year contract to get him to next years free agency.

He is too good for the MLE.

Respect

Great point. Best of luck to Maggette. I hope somebody figures out a way to pay him more than the MLE. But if not, joining the champion Celtics in a key role with some classy and super-talented professionals is a pretty good option.

Might have to repost the Maggettifesto for old times sake. Looking forward to Clipper Steve’s homage to Maggette.
