Knicks reject Clips offer for Randolph
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/basketball/nba/07/11/randolph.clippers/index.html
Supposedly Clips had the same thought as most u guys and didn't bother to offer much for him. I like the way the Clips are immediately trying to recoup for the loss of Brand. Even though he might not be CS favorite player, he would provide the rebounding and offense that Brand gave us. Even though this didn't work out, props to the Clips for working hard to make moves instead of sittin round.

Hopefully...
this is a precursor to the Clips making a similar move for Marion, although I hope they go after him with a little more than just cap relief.

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?
Clearly the Clippers are not on the same page as ClipsNation. I hope the thinking improves.
I imagine the Knicks fans are jumping off the Empire State Bldg right about now.

Thank God!!
We just dodged a bullet then I really did not want Randolph he is just not good enough for the type of money we would be paying him. But I wonder why the Knicks rejected the offer it would have helped them alot. But with that said it is a very good thing that they did reject it Randolph is not the answer for our problem.

We didn’t offer them too much. I think front office and clip nation are more on the same page then we think.

Hmmm
They’re trying, but I’d have to say they’re not quite on the same page if they went after the one guy I said I don’t want under any circumstances.
Here’s what’s especially interesting about this. Everyone always thinks the other team is going to take less than they want in every trade scenario. I mean, what possible deal could the Clippers come up with that the Knicks would REJECT? Did the ask the Knicks to throw in a draft pick in order to take the guy?
It tells you that Marion, Lee… any trade is going to take more than we think it should. That’s the thing about trades – there are two sides trading.
I do think it’s plausible that the Knicks believe that a big statistical year for Z-Bo under D’Antoni (let’s face it, it could definitely happen) will make the market for him much better next summer. They’re not in a big rush. They have 23.5 months until LeBron can become a free agent.

It's interesting they believe that Zbo will have a strong year
Under a guy who has only coached teams with an up tempo setting, which is admittedly what Z Bo does not do best. Sounds like Walsh is trying to play the field and see what he’s got.
No mistakes in the tango, darling. Not like life. It's simple. That's what makes the tango so great. If you make a mistake, and get tangled, you tango on

Unfortunately the knicks are not the suns...
If the suns owner owned the knicks I’m sure the trade happens. Since the knicks are in the luxury tax those 3 years are like 90 million+ in salary.
But they dont care. I would think the 90 million alone would have been worthwhile.
