Around SBN: MLB Trade Rumors: Edwin Jackson to the White Sox, DC next?

From the tone of this piece, it makes it sound like Baron could have decided to come to L.A. on his own.

Editor: Art Thompson III, erstwhile Clippers beat writer for the OCR, chimes in with a nice piece on Baron. Seems like the dual shackles of newsprint and the OC may have been holding AT3 back a bit, because he's brings it for this story. Hat tip to Citizen Jonee for finding this.

Wow

AT3 brings it and then some. This is what happens when you get a longtime reporter who knows the team and the city.

I didn’t know that Cash Warren is Mike Warren’s son. I knew the rest about him, although I don’t know the details of his “big time producer” cred. But all I need to know is his relationship with JAlba, which speaks for itself. We’ll be getting to know Cash a lot better this fall, I’m sure, and we’ll be getting a lot of camera shots of Alba that will cut into Billy Crystal and Frankie Muniz. That’s a good thing.

I didn’t know that Rico Hines is his buddy/trainer. More importantly, I didn’t know about last year’s “radical offseason training program,” which is credited with keeping him injury-free all last year. We knew about Brand’s summer 05 transformation, and the rollout of Kaman 2.0 last fall. BD’s program and level of fitness and health is another good thing.

We knew that Baron Davis is friends with lots of people. Now, judging by the way that he’s geeked up, we know that he’s friends with AT3. Good for both of them.
