According to Ramona Shelburne's Daily News blog, the Clippers are going to announce a free agent signing tonight.  So keep an eye on her site, or here at Clips Nation.  She posted about an hour ago, and said to check back in a couple of hours.  So something may be announced soon.

Oh, and kudos to Citizen Lawler's Law for pointing out to her the need to change the banner with FElton's 42 on it.

Well...

She lied.. It was probably supposed to be Azubuike.

She didn't lie...

She knows it’s not Buike – the post before was about how the Warriors were matching. Just because she doesn’t have the news yet doesn’t mean she lied.

gotta give credit to Ramona…she is definetly dedicated to covering the Clippers!

It is LO

I noticed that too. What a horrible image for the top of a Clippers blog.

or

she just wanted to drive a bunch of traffic to her website

I must admit

I’m intrigued by the Miles idea. But that’s certainly not an announcement that’s happening soon. No one will pay him more than the minimum. He’s still being paid by Portland, after all. The Clippers have to spend what little money they have under the cap first, and then worry about the min signings. Which is why the timing of the Hart trade was so bad.

me too!

I am intrigued by this, as well… If he is really that cheap, and if the rumors are true of him “looking good”, then I say bring him back, for the fans!

Can't wait

anylonger…it’s ‘mimis’ time…I hope it solves some of our lack of bench depth…

this is nerve wracking, especially if its just a signing of a rfa which means we would have to wait another 7 days

so what happened with this? guess we didnt sign someone?

Don't be surprised

if we see the Choker Latrell Sprewell’s name surface. Just a hunch!!

although

I’m not sure Spree is considered a free agent.

I don't think she knows who...

Just that someone in the Clippers told her a signing was imminent. It’s hard to know what to say in a situation like that. Do you tell readers that you’re expecting something, or wait until it’s done. Broderick Turner of the PE went with the Mo Evans thing the other day, and then it didn’t happen. These guys have to make these decisions all the time.

Go Clippers!

JMT

Either John Muir Trail, or Jedi Mind Tricks. I’m guessing the former, based on context. But I’m not ruling out the latter, considering the source.
