USA up by double digits in the 1st

Melo, Bron and Wade having huge games thus far. Already forced 8 or 9 turnovers. Melo has drained two 3’s, and Wade has a few steals. Bron had a sick dunk over some dudes. Bosh trucked Little Ricky Rubio, and Kobe bulldozed Pau early on.

Kobe got into early foul trouble and had to come out. Plus he was forcing shots.

D Wade

blocked a shot, which went to a Spanish guy. Wade then came up from behind and stole it, and ran down court in a “flash” for the jam.

All in five seconds. He is the best player on the floor for the USA. So much hustle.

I like how coach K stays in his seat

unless it is to yell at the refs

No kidding

can’t imagine him in this situation.

“LeBron, guard him”

“I know, Coach”

prince getting a lot of PT

he matches up well with the taller Spanish forwards

I love LAC.

I think you are right

the length helps. Here comes Boozer for Prince.

CP3 has not gotten much credit for his awesome job in these games

Perhaps the biggest difference between now and 04 is that the 04 team didn’t have PGs.

Wade is alright

He was the first out of Bron, melo and himself to get a title…with a little help from the refs of course.

I love LAC.

61-45 at the half

fast paced game. That will tend to happen in US games.

US is a 2nd half team

let’s see how big they can get the margin

A nice touch to the TV broadcast...

The NBA on NBC song! Only thing missing from the live feed.

I love LAC.

good summary so far guys...

i’ll try to watch some the end half

Not many on Clips nation awake at this hr.

I probably would have watched the tape-delayed..but i thought they wouldn’t tape delay on weekends…and I couldn’t go back to sleep.

I love LAC.

A decent looking gym

From this wide angle shot, the gym looks alright….its not Staples, but looks decent for an overseas gym. Guessing it was built just for olympics. Don’t know how the rest of China’s gyms are….probably in much worse shape.

I love LAC.

that was all ball that sent that spaniard to the deck

The players actually are sitting on a 'bench'

A rare scene in the NBA, all the players and coaching staff having a seat on the sidelines.

I love LAC.

Marc Gasol got game, thought

like Pau, but with balls

F-Elton!

by mikey p on Aug 16, 2008 8:29 AM PDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

marc gasol seems decent

Not too polished as a player, he’s no Pau, but he does look NBA ready. A few years from now, the trade will look good for Memphis.

I love LAC.

by oasisman on Aug 16, 2008 8:29 AM PDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

he does not have Pau's skills

but he is bigger and stronger down low

If I am the Miami Heat

I am excited about the way Wade is playing, and terrified about the way he is playing, too.

Not to dig at Kobe too much

but I have never seen him take over a game on both ends of the floor like Wade can.

Or LBJ, for that matter.

Ok, I’ll get off his nuts now. But he is ballin

hear the sounds of the game…instead of collins jabbering on…

I was just about to say

I don’t miss the commentary one bit. The NBA should look into this.

But half the fun of watching the Clippers is Ralph Lawler

a michael redd sighting

When the Bucks let go of ray allen so many years ago, they had thought young Redd would become the next ray allen. So far, hasn’t happened.
Also, the 72.5 mil for Andrew Bogut is truly outrageous.

I love LAC.

by oasisman on Aug 16, 2008 8:42 AM PDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

what nba player will be the first

to sport that tape around his shoulder next season?…i say kobe or wade…

Its also good to not have the arena music during the actual game

Clips games used to be like this…all is quiet during live balls, except Clipper Darrell. Then they went on a playoff run and started to go crazy on the in-play music, even during last year’s bleak times.

I love LAC.

by oasisman on Aug 16, 2008 8:47 AM PDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

lots of last names

starting with G in the spanish team…Gasol Garbajosa, Gerni…
