NBA Schedule...

According to Clipperblog.com the NBA schedule should be out later today...Clear your calendars, buy your tix, forget your New Year's parties, cause FElton is coming to town on NY eve! Anyone thinking about going to the game? If I can score some tix, I will definetly be there. How about a live viewing party, CS?

And they kick off the season against the Lakers…

In regards to acquiring Steve Novak?  Didn't we try this last year with Farmer?  MDsr didn't play him very much, probably because of his lack of D skills...would we expect any different with Novak?

Unbelievable

Why in the world did the L in its infinite wisdom decide to schedule arguably the most important game of the season on freaking NYE??? Oh well I’ll probably get kicked out by halftime for heckling anyways so I should have plenty of time to get ready and join the rest of my inebriated friends at whatever overpriced party we decide to attend. It just pisses me off that EB won’t get the full dosage of Clipper Nation hate that he’s so rightfully earned.

They feel the game is imprortant

remember Kobe Vs. Shaq use to be played on New Years Eve.

Season Opener

Cavs vs. Celtics…really??? NBA can’t come up with a better match up than that to open the season…3 vs 1?

Check out the end of March road trip

That’s just brutal – Detroit, Toronto, Boston, New York, San Antonio and Houston.

did i read that right?

only one national televised game for the clips?? smh…..no respect for us as usual

by clipschamps on Aug 6, 2008 10:46 AM PDT reply actions

they could add more national games later

they did the same thing during the 05-06 season.

by bestclipfan on Aug 6, 2008 10:49 AM PDT reply actions

I hope they add some more Clippers games

because the Clippers play once, against the other LA team, who plays on National TV more than Notre Dame fooseball.

This is wack. The Clippers got job’d as did several other teams….....

It doesn’t matter.

I just got my season tickets!

Actually not entirely, I bought the Super Star Plan (End Zone Floor), there’s no way I can make it to 41 games and resaleing the tickets would be a pain in the butt. I think I’m under the basket, I’ll know for sure on the 14th during the viewing party. It was pretty pricey when you look at it in a lump sum but hey any year we are a legit threat to make the playoffs is a worthwhile investment.

Clipperblog breaks down the schedule

Kevin A. has a good analysis of the schedule over at his site. The basic rule of “the schedule giveth, the schedule taketh away” seems to apply. The bad news is the opening stretch of tough games, where the Clips figure to be underdogs in all but one of them (home Denver). Club Optimism notes that the team might well be at its healthiest in this first stretch, and will want to show that it can play with anybody. That season opener against the Lakers could be important in setting the tone, but that’s just the beginning. The good news is the run of the last five games is favorable, if the Clips are trying to squeeze into a playoff spot.

A nice subtlety there

Opening night for the Clippers will be the second night of back-to-back for the Lakers.

And Another

Carmelo will reportedly be suspended for that first game vs Nuggets.
