Q: When are we [the Heat] going to do something to sign Shaun Livingston?
A: When management gains any confidence that Livingston could return to anything close to his former self. While his agent told me that the former Clippers point guard is ready to take the court, others say this could be yet anther lost season after Livingston's devastating knee injury two years ago.

This is interesting...
Livingston and his agent have been saying Shaun will sign with the Heat, the Wolves or the Blazers. The Heat, who would appear to have by far the biggest need (unless you like Marcus Banks, Chris Quinn or Mario Chalmers as a starting point guard) aren’t sold on his physical condition.
It’s very sad for Shaun, but I want to add one thing. The guy just turned 23. If he takes another full year to recover, he’ll be the same age as Al Thornton was as a rookie. So, for Shaun’s sake, let’s hope this is a question of “Wow, that injury was so devastating that he won’t be 100% for awhile” and not “He’ll never be close to the same again.”
