So with training camp just around the corner, you figure the supposed new leader and face of the franchise would be hard at work refining his game. Perhaps staying sharp with some pick-up games. Maybe working on the chemistry with his new team mates.
Not quite:
Excuse the girly site, but Baron Davis was photographed soaking up some rays in Mexico with hottie Jessica Alba and bud Cash Warren. Now if I were friends with Alba, I'd probably want to hang out with her as much as possible too. But a vacation like this just seems more appropriate for the beginning or middle of the off-season. Who knows? Maybe I'm just being over critical. He could have been training this whole summer and is just unwinding before the grind of the season. I just have fears of Baron being too comfortable back home and not concentrating on basketball. Is it just me or does anyone else share these fears??

from other posts, it seems like he has been at the UCLA workouts recently and he is just taking a break before camp…
More intriguing to me is what’s the deal between bd, ja and her hubby? I know she is plastered all over the GSM boys site and she was on TNT every second during the Dubs playoff run, but I don’t get it…

baron
went to a elite high school with kids of holy wood exec and stars. Cash Warren(Alba’s Husband) was one of Baron’s very good friends from high school. Apparently they stayed very close hence why Cash, Baron and Alba are always together. Baron is also one of the founders of ibeatyou.com along with Cash.
and yes Baron is very chubby. check this pic out . He put on a lot of weight over the summer it seems.

It's cool
Baron was playing ball at Pauley most of the summer. He’s allowed to go to Cabo with his pals before camp opens. I for one am looking forward to a little more H’wood at Clippers games. I’d rather look at Jessica Alba and Kate Hudson than Frankie Muniz and Billy Crystal.

i actually only saw him once during the summer at ucla, and the one day that i saw him he looked terrible. Im pretty sure it was his first time playin in a while, and that was about two weeks ago. Hopefully the rustiness was due to the fact that he has been trying to add new facets to his game and therefore stayed away from pickup ball

Playing volleyball...
BD looks fine. At some point there were reports about his off-season fitness regime, and how former UCLA teammate Rico Hines is his primary trainer. Although we haven’t heard anything about the regime from this summer, it was credited as the reason why he was able to stay healthy at GS. GSoM has to be a rich source of Baron lore, I would think, for anyone who wants to dig.
Also worth noting that Cash Warren’s father is Mike Warren, UCLA pg great.
The Alba factor, which should be extremely interesting, makes me feel kind of sorry for Frankie Muniz and Billy Crystal.

He actually lost weight
Baron may look chubby on the beach, but apparently that’s just his body type. According to Ramona Shelburne on the Daily News, he lost 19 pounds this summer. And he did it on the Jenny Craig diet. No lie.
