The Blazers have passed on Shaun
Seems a shame for Shaun, but the Blazers GM Kevin Pritchard has stated that they are passing on him. Maybe he is not as healthy as we hoped. Shaun was an experiment to start with and this injury does not appear to be career ending. I still believe in raw talent and in three years this injury is likely to be a distant memory. If I am right, he will be impossible to get if we dont do it soon. Maybe it is time to talk with his manager again.

That Leave the Wolves
Ira Winderman seemed pretty sure the Heat were going to pass also.
There’s a couple threads on Canis Hoopus (Wolves blog) on this subject.
In this world, you must be oh so smart or oh so pleasant. Well, for years I was smart. I recommend pleasant. - Elwood P. Dowd
Makes less and less sense...
..that he passed on the Clips minimum offer. I guess he thought he was more ready than he is… OR… the damage is permanent. These are all teams for whom SL actually worked out. Maybe they know the truth… that his return is a longshot and not worth the minimum.
I doubt it is the cash
I think every team will pass on Shaun because he is not a certainty to play this year. Nobody wants to sacrifice a roster spot on a maybe. Once Shaun is 100% healthy, he will likely command the $10M per year we were expecting pay him before his injury. All it takes is a season of 65+ games and he will hit the lottery. He is a unique specimen and if he reaches his potential, he will be worth every penny and more.
NonGtd contract too
he may see some playing time at the SF position since Walker is, well, Walker…
