KA's article on the Daily Dime
I'm pretty sure that most hard core Clips fans here read Kevin's blog as well, but now that he's writing for the Daily Dime, today's article was pretty judicious and didn't hold any punches about the franchise.
Here's an excerpt from the end:
As the Clippers piled up losses with their ragtag lineup, empathy turned into grumbling. Dunleavy made a veiled suggestion to the Los Angeles Times story that agents often tell their players to take their time returning from injury. Meanwhile, reports began to surface that there was resentment in certain corners of the Clippers' locker room over the glacial pace of recovery among the big-name players.
For many in Los Angeles, the contrast came into focus last week when the Clippers faced the Lakers at Staples Center. While Kobe Bryant gritted his way though a dislocated finger on his shooting hand, the Clippers' M*A*S*H unit was in street clothes on the bench.
The entire article can be found on ESPN's page and not on his blog:

Apparently
Kobe is playing for a championship tittle, and baron davis is playing for….yea exactly
Strangely positive
I thought the article was strangely positive after one of the worst performances in one of the worst seasons in franchise history. Last night’s game was an embarrassment.
I honestly don’t see any hope for this team as long as Dunleavy is coach. I hate to harp on this but what kind of freaking offense do they run? Last night I couldn’t figure it out at all. Several times the play consisted of Gordon dribbling it up the court, Baron, Thornton and Camby going to the corners and standing there, Gordon dribbling for 15 seconds at the top of the key and waiting for Jordan to come set a high pick and roll which resulted on nothing, forcing Gordon to throw it to Thornton on the wing for a contested jump shot with 3 seconds on the clock.
WTH!?
Got to agree
I’m sure in MDsr’s head he knows what he’s doing but it seems a pretty unsuccessful game plan when it hits the court.
He needs to take the GM job as his full time and let this team move forward. I don’t even want to waste the rest of this season seeing how many wins he can gather as the roster returns. It’s all wasted time. Sterling – read this – wake up make and get us a coach.
Bingo! Oh me oh my!
Here's why it was positive...
The editors at ESPN had already committed the first item of the dime to KA on this subject. It’s not like they have 6 guys write a 500 word piece and decide which one to run. So the editors weren’t really expecting the team to look terrible. But KA is going to step back from the weeds of daily ClipperBlog posting and give the big picture perspective on the Clippers that he rarely gets to give. He’s still a fan remember, so it’s only strangely positive given the game it followed. He’s still a true believer, and he had a chance to tell the story that rarely gets told.

Um, he's coming back from being hurt
And he made a number of good passes that should have been converted but were not.
Yeah. He should have had 6 assists rather than 4.
But the offense ran through him while he was on the floor and he took some baaad shots! Spare me the injury crap, though. He has had one decent shooting night all season and this was an opportunity to see BD work without having to throw the ball inside and wait for a kickout. I watched him penetrate and miss. I watched him pull up for a couple of threes and miss. That was BD runnin the show out there but somehow madglove sees another loss on MDSr. And then Jax shows up with an excuse. Great. So it could have been 3pts, 6 asts on 1 of 10 shooting but thats just them running the usual boring, predictable iso style game that you hate MDSr for. Oh, wait! No! Thats what this team looks like without any post presence and a chucker at the helm.
That's not an excuse, my man
That’s just a fact. If you think that a player who has been out for several weeks with injuries can come right back in and play as if he wasn’t out, then you don’t understand the game. I’m not supporting BD. I’m merely suggesting that you can’t judge a guy’s game by the first game back after an injury.
I don’t hate MDSr. However, it seems you hate BD. Too bad for you. Is this an alter ego of John R?
He wasn't that far below his season avg.
But we’ve already heard your excuses for 36%. Blame others! I don’t hate BD and have never called for him to be traded, released, reprimanded, or even called him incompetent as you have have MDSr. I have simply pointed out that his lack of performance is far more a likely reason for the record than the coaches play calling.
And to address your “fact”, can we expect every star player coming off injury to go for 3 pts on 1 of 10 shooting, because Monta Ellis looked a hell of a lot better after missing the entire first half of the season. I guess some guys need excuses and others don’t.
don't you think
it depends on the injury? Hey, if you don’t like BD, don’t complain to me. Complain to the guy who signed him.
So an injury that keeps you out for a month
is worse than an injury that keeps you out for half of a season? Awesome excuses! Just awesome.
Ilgauskus
Missed a month, returned versus the Clippers, went for 20/11 on 10 for 16 shooting. Played 29 minutes. He’s 33 with one of the worst injury histories in the league.
