Clippers Want Maggette Back?

In Kawakami: 7 steps to improving the Warriors

Step 5: Don't repeat what the Knicks did for years; don't make a terrible situation hopeless by trading your own underperformers for someone else's larger-salaried mediocrities.

Hold on to Maggette until he can be handed back to the Clippers in a year or so.

Is it just me or does everyone not familiar with the Clippers think that we want Maggette back? Why would we? We have our own Maggette in Al Thornton now. And he's much cheaper than what the GSWs are paying Maggette-uh-oh.

Corey would impress me one second and then totally disgust me on the next possession. I don't want the Clippers to bring him back. Why do people keep blogging/posting/writing about trades where the Clippers would take him back?!

Is there a part of Clipper Nation that wants him back?

Do Clipper fans want to see Corey Maggette return to the Clippers? [GSoM guys, please don't vote - we already know what you think...]
Yes. I think the Clippers could be more successful with him back on the team.

No. Al Thornton is cheaper and just as good/bad.

Kind of misleading

Would I like Maggette back on the Clippers? Sure.

Would I want him for $50M? Not really, especially considering that the Clippers would have to deal somebody to get him.

Kawakami

I usually like Kawakami, but this is baseless association. Hold onto him for a year until he can be sent back to the Clippers? Based on what? Is there some sort of ‘One year free agent trial offer money back guarantee’ that we’re not aware of? The Clippers could have kept Maggette at the same coin the Dubs paid and chose not to. It would seem the Clippers, who specifically choose NOT to pay him that, would be the least likely of the 29 other NBA teams to want Maggette at this point.

In this world, you must be oh so smart or oh so pleasant. Well, for years I was smart. I recommend pleasant. - Elwood P. Dowd

i wouldnt give baron davis the satisfaction of going back to the Warriors with a new contract. Send him to Minnesota or Charlotte.
