Antawn Jamison of Washington Wizards likely to miss three to five weeks with shoulder injury - ESPN
Just wanted to put this out there for a little perspective. The one and only team in the NBA that has had more cumulative injury problems over the last two seasons is Washington. Like the Clippers, they are a trendy pick to bounce back this year, in their case based almost entirely on improved health. Well, their All Star power forward will likely miss the first month of the season, so the bad news for them is real, and has started before the season. "Griffin day-to-day" is a concern, but it's a lot better than "Jamison out". You kind of have to feel for Wizards fans right now.

It's not really the injury
it’s more what the injury could mean going forward right?
I mean, nobody thinks a little swelling in the knee is cause for concern. But when you’re the Clippers, with their horrifying history of knee injuries, it’s hard to feel good about this.
So yes, other teams have more serious injuries right now, but I would trade our injury history for pretty much any team in the league.
I made a tongue in cheek post about the “Clipper Curse” being real back when Blake injured his shoulder during Summer League. I think we all have to admit that it’s been a little unsettling thus far.
Let’s hope the Eric Gordon comparisons hold up.

Not to mention Blake has a history of knee injuries.

He does?
I didn’t know that. What are they?

He had two knee injuries
the worst one required him to be out an extended amount of time (torn meniscus).

ok...wow...
he underwent surgery for that and came back to play a WEEK later. Does he have superhuman recovery?

A tear in the meniscus isn’t too bad an injury unless he has a degenerative condition and there is no known evidence of that.
Bingo! Oh me oh my!

Agent Zero
Will take them back to the promised land. My fantasy team is banking on it.

Oh me oh my, I cannot grasp why this continues to happen to us. Isn’t a broken kneecap the same injury that kept Bynum out for all year before?

Yep

Bynum collapsed and had to be carried off so hopefully Blake can bounce back soon. Demoralizing setback however, I want to punch a baby now.

I was just thinking the same thing...

Yea
maybe SP can even it up by writing a post devoted to how Kobe hasn’t missed a game the past two years… that would at least alleviate some of this pain.
