Coming to the Clippers to break a 30 year curse would be a huge accomplishment for anyone.
It was pretty much a foregone conlusion that
we would trade Kaman to create the necessary cap space needed if we were to sign LeBron. Then we see the newly upgraded 3.0 version of himself this season. If he were to keep up this type of play for 70 or so games, it would be hard to give him up. You give him up if it is the difference maker in obtaining LeBron, but you start thinking of ways to keep him instead.
We would be able to keep Baron, Kaman, EJ, Blake, DJ and our draft pick (est. 15th) if the cap was over $55.1M. We’d have to renounce the rights to our free-agents and move Thornton and Telfair’s contracts for picks to have the necessary cap room. That’s only if he were to opt-out outright and not request a sign and trade (not likely). If we obtained him through sign and trade, Cleveland would likely want at least DJ and a couple 1st round draft picks.
I don't care if it's Kaman 8.0
I’d trade Kaman for Taylor Griffin if it meant getting Lebron.

Why would Kaman 8.0=???
35pts, 25rebs, 5 assist and 10 blocks with a fg% of .800?
I’ll take Kaman 8.0 for that matter…
