Oh right

east coast game means early start out West. Rats, hate missing the beginning of the game and catching the first half via radio….

come on guys losing it already

terrible passes leading to silly turnovers. Brown already with a quick 3.

Thornton looked like Kobe right there

Great timeout by Dunleavy 2 and a half minutes in

Team started poor and the quick TO gave them a nice kick in the behind.

Imma quit looking at comments on this game

its looking horrible already. Im on ESPN gamecast and its looking very dark on a game that I thought would look very bright with CP3 out…

by JackduhSun on Nov 17, 2009 5:46 PM PST reply actions

Thanks alot.

Problem is, Im at my school library and its VERY VERY slow. Can’t even watch a single second of the video without it loading.. and even then nothing has been playing yet.

Only Butler's pass would hit the rim.

by Regulan on Nov 17, 2009 6:02 PM PST reply actions

Butler?!

What the hell was that pass? Skipped Kaman in the high post to throw it off the rim.

missed the 1st qtr

how the hell have they given up this many points to this team, they need to step up and play def. this team has no business to be on pace for over 100.

by ImranQ on Nov 17, 2009 6:22 PM PST reply actions

yeah seriously

every time we knock it to 9, they get another bucket right back. Defense gotta step it up.

by dulciusEXasperis on Nov 17, 2009 6:51 PM PST up reply actions

Is Baron just jacking up shots?? I only have gamecast.

by Sam50 on Nov 17, 2009 6:55 PM PST up reply actions

In my opinion it doesn't really feel like he's jacking up shots

Though he’s certainly had a few of those quick pull up shots. He just ins’t a good shooter.

by dulciusEXasperis on Nov 17, 2009 6:57 PM PST up reply actions

lol game over!

Not watching anymore peace out…good luck next year

by highriser on Nov 17, 2009 7:03 PM PST reply actions

this is just frustrating to watch

how the hell does NO score so easy on us, and we have to struggle for everything

by ImranQ on Nov 17, 2009 7:04 PM PST reply actions

we lose

cant even fu***** guard a rookie who gets every 3 wide f**************** open god dammit

by Final692 on Nov 17, 2009 7:06 PM PST reply actions

This is it

To get outplayed by the Hornets something has to be changed.

by KillaClip on Nov 17, 2009 7:06 PM PST reply actions

Well on a plus note

Thornton is kicking some a** tonight and for his 4th game in a row. Can we assume he’s back?

by dulciusEXasperis on Nov 17, 2009 7:08 PM PST reply actions

Alright down by 9

Can’t believe we brought it down to single digits. Keep pushing you sons a b****es lol

by dulciusEXasperis on Nov 17, 2009 7:11 PM PST reply actions

why does baron continue to shoots 3s

we are in the bonus and he sucks at shooting

by ImranQ on Nov 17, 2009 7:16 PM PST reply actions

he’s a persistent f**ker lol

by dulciusEXasperis on Nov 17, 2009 7:17 PM PST up reply actions

Clippers defense and New Orleans turnovers

don’t mean a thing if the Clippers can’t SCORE!

by edk3 on Nov 17, 2009 7:18 PM PST reply actions

i think that novak shot was the game....

wide open..can’t get a better look for him….he’s probably tired from having played so much tonight haha

by whyamiaclippersfan on Nov 17, 2009 7:20 PM PST reply actions

haha he's exhausted

But yeah he makes that and we’re right there breathing down their necks.

by dulciusEXasperis on Nov 17, 2009 7:21 PM PST up reply actions

Big miss by Novak

That would’ve changed the game! Specially after Barons three

Aaarrrgggghhhhhh!

by MannyA on Nov 17, 2009 7:23 PM PST via mobile reply actions

Really Mike Smith?

You smell overtime? Don’t think so…

Oh me, oh my!!!! The Red Baron has come home!!

by Clipper T on Nov 17, 2009 7:29 PM PST reply actions

in regards to seeing what this team can really do

totally agree. We’re going to be much better with Blake either starting or coming off the bench and having our sharp shooter EJ back. This should of been a win but we’re nothing without Eric and our #1 pick. Think of had good we would of been if Thornton had started off the season this hot. Hope he keeps it up with Eric back on the floor.

the way the played today, I doubt they win in Memphis, but man I hope you are right and they go 2 and 1

by MannyA on Nov 17, 2009 9:27 PM PST via mobile up reply actions

36/51 rebound difference

man we can’t get a defensive board. 28th in the league…..come on!!!!

by dulciusEXasperis on Nov 17, 2009 7:36 PM PST reply actions

Ugh

Really bad loss, how are we so bad at rebounding anyways? We have Kaman and Camby you would think we’d be a good rebounding team right? How many teams have two double digit rebounders?

FA in 2010.

by ClipperChuck on Nov 17, 2009 7:36 PM PST reply actions

Yeah

rebounding is really what killed us tonight… or lack thereof. Don’t understand how Kaman only had 6 boards. That’s simply pitiful.

Oh me, oh my!!!! The Red Baron has come home!!

by Clipper T on Nov 17, 2009 7:38 PM PST up reply actions

i did vote on the poll a couple weeks back that the clips would be 5-9

i wish i had been wrong but it looks like my prediction is going to come true

by whyamiaclippersfan on Nov 17, 2009 7:37 PM PST reply actions

But what will we be when he comes back?

He’s not a great rebounder, nor is he HC…so what real difference will it make? Plus he fouls as much as the rest

We have to beat the Grizzlies tomorrow to get to 5-8… otherwise we could be 4-10 by friday night.

Actually guys...let's keep it real....this isn't that bad

EJ and Blake are out…if we are only 4 wins under 500 when EJ comes back, things aren’t too bad…

EJ is a big piece of our team missing, he would have been the man to go to in Q4…

by Newton Pham on Nov 17, 2009 7:39 PM PST reply actions

HAHA...

I love how you just thought about that and realized that a superstarless team beat a team without a rookie and a sophmore…

pretty convincingly too

we were as they called it “climbing a hill all day” and we pretty much were…

by Final692 on Nov 17, 2009 7:41 PM PST up reply actions

Yea

CP3 is still a lot more important to the Hornets than EJ is for the Clips. Not sure how we turn this around, can only hope BG gives us a spark next month once our schedule actually gets hard.

FA in 2010.

by ClipperChuck on Nov 17, 2009 7:42 PM PST up reply actions

What did I miss

I watched the first half and knew from that moment we were going to lose

1. Our rotation on the 3pt attempts were late
2. We could not rebound

by Qlippers on Nov 17, 2009 7:41 PM PST reply actions

Can we do a vote tomorrow on banning the use of "winnable game"

We shouldnt use that word around these parts anymore, it s like a jinx.

by Newton Pham on Nov 17, 2009 7:43 PM PST reply actions

I hate the idea that there is "winnable games" as a clipper fan

Maybe we should start thinking, there is a chance we can win this game.

by Qlippers on Nov 17, 2009 7:44 PM PST up reply actions

I like thinking we have no way of getting blown out

but we probably will. Just when I think we couldn’t possibly sink any lower… we do.

I’m hoping Ben Wallace and Ron Artest start another brawl. I also hope Will Bynum dunks on Andrew Bynum. It would balance out the evening after watching the Clips lose yet again.

This was fun

Looking forward to the write up by Steve this was the same defense that they played against OKC they play it in spots late and draw the illusion they always tried. This team isthe Clippers I called them everything in the book from terrible to disgusting nothing else fits they are just the Clippers.
We need a new coach if it isn’t his fault it doesn’t matter at this point we need something to bring a change. Right now Dunleavy is George W. Bush at the end of his last term you have been calling him a moron for so long that you just get tired. We need a CHANGE and I can’t stress that enough.

AI and Dunleavy

Lets hope Mike D. signs iverson to a 10 day contract so more people fill the seats at home so sterling’s more amenable to firing dunleavy.

Sad thing about the next draft

Outside of getting John Wall (Nets or Jazz might get him) everyone else is a big mostly PF’s. So we have Griffin yet we potentially might have a nice 5-10 overall pick do we still go BPA because we need a SF or do we go Wizards route and trade the pick for the SF. Remember though Wizards missed some good players who slipped.

by KillaClip on Nov 17, 2009 8:37 PM PST reply actions

hey guys, before we get all depressed about the game, lets look at the positives

Al Thornton is getting his confidence back. He put up a lot of points without taking a ton of shots.

Chris Kaman was good, but not great. It seems like he has a tougher time vs the bigger opponents

Baron Davis was good, but not great.

Camby was good but not great

Rasual is finding his stroke

Kareem Rush was playing well for us until he hurt his knee…. hopefully he just tweeked his knee a bit instead of something major.

Clipper curse?

at least they’re not the New Jersey Nets.

I only caught the last quarter, and was wondering why Rush wasn't ever on the court.

I now see he has a torn ACL.

All you can do is laugh at this point, I mean seriously. This is insane.

I've got nothing.

At some point

After seven years of sub .400 (aggregate) basketball, I’m going to start questioning the coach.

by Jax on Nov 17, 2009 9:48 PM PST reply actions

To a older post

2-1 is not I repeat not a successful roadtrip in terms of where we were going in and what we needed going out. The Clippers needed to go 6-7 at the end to afford a likely loss to the Nuggets back home to go 6-8 and then run around and beat Indy which would make us 7-8 and then have a easy slate to end the month as the 8 th seeded teams to be battling it out with at exactly the .500 number. This game was big because if the team could have stayed potentially near .500 it takes pressure off of Blake who has to look like a savior now as the number one draft pick. Espcially since the loss was to NOH without Palu the roadtrip is alrady a Epic Fail. I know a loss is a loss no matter who but some losses should never be losses.

by KillaClip on Nov 17, 2009 10:02 PM PST reply actions

Kareem Rush out for the remainder of the season

He tore his ACL, his season is over.

For those who think Baron had a good game, check the stats, he shot 21 chunkers and couldn’t make anything. He’s pathetic as is how this team got close to being tied again and then BAM it was a 10 point deficit or more.

by chrisd on Nov 17, 2009 10:29 PM PST reply actions

no paul and they win - time for plan AI

i’m a positive person but they don’t have Chris Paul who is better than any Clipper player and somebody who their team misses more than we do gordon & griffin combined and we couldn’t win. Baron was pathetic, this is his loss all the way. He & Dunleavy should be fired. Bring in AI to start at PG NOW!!!
