Kareem Rush Injury Update
Here is an update from Lisa Dillman's Twitter:
"Let's get his first name in this time. Official word from MRI results:News keeps getting worse for the Clippers: Kareem Rush has a torn ACL
38 minutes ago from web"
Also, If Rush's contract isn't guaranteed yet I feel pretty bad for him. Hopefully things can turn more positive soon for the Clippers organization and their players. Clippers still at least have 4 wins to cling on to. Not every team can say that.

at least he wasn't a major piece
though he was playing quite well for us and pushed the stuggling Butler to the bench.

Give it time, whoever you think our big pieces are, you just know an injury is right around the corner.
We are the Clippers, baby. That’s just how we roll.
I've got nothing.
haha well Thornton's been able to stay
relatively healthy, knock on wood.

oh god relax
Don’t take it the way it sounds, this is the f**king internet for god sakes. Losing Rush doesn’t hurt the team like it would some other players. Doesn’t mean I don’t feel terrible for the guy.
Take it easy

we pull another PDavis...
ACL injury. Release.
Roger Sterling: To my knees, Don. They're bringing to my knees!"
Davis...
Finished the season on that contract. They released him the following year when he was healthy. In fact, I’m pretty sure you’re not allowed to release a player who gets hurt – or rather, you still have to pay them. I’ll try to track down that rule. Pretty sure it even applies to pre-season.

Looked it up...
In the CBA, if a player is injured as a direct result of playing basketball while under contract, the contract becomes fully guaranteed until the player is healed or until the end of the season – so in this case since ACLs take more than 6 months to heal, it’s until the end of the season. So he’ll get paid.
Having said that…. I don’t know if they can waive him and free up the roster spot. I think they can, but I’m not sure.

Gotta be able to waive him...
Can’t imagine that they couldn’t.. Feel bad for the guy, but at least he’ll get his money..
So then Dunleavy will finally have it down to his 14 player roster.. Now what? Oh yeah, keep losing.. Forgot.
'Cause how you play, is how you'll be remembered. PLAY LOUD!

Pretty sure you can get a medical exception
and free up another slot. I know the Rockets got one for Yao Ming during the offseason, not sure what the process is like but I’m sure we could sign another player if needed.

Just in time to grab Iverson
What an F-ing travesty
I feel really bad for the guy...
but at least we now know SP picked the right slogan for Clips Nation.
Oh me, oh my!!!! The Red Baron has come home!!
Really liked his attitude
Too bad, he’ll be missed. Hopefully we can find someone else.
Jasen Powell strikes again...
Can we trade Powell and a number one pick for Phoenix’s trainer? How many injuries does Phoenix have the last three years compared to us? Why do players like Lamar get mysteriously healthy when they leave the Clippers?
I've been hard on Powell too
but come on? He has nothing to do with Rush tearing an ACL.

Not Stretching is the primary leading cause on a chance of an ACL injury.
Is Jasen Powell in charge on the training staff? Do the training Staff conduct stretching for the Team?
Time for Jasen Powell and MDSr. to get the Boot, look at it this way if they go to the EDD office together they can save each others place in line when they go to the restroom.
Everything starts out New, Gets Old and Dies or is Destroyed.
Powell is not going anywhere...
If he isn’t around, who is Deandre Jordan going to play cards with? Haven’t you been watching the videos? Powell is an integral part of DJ’s roadtrips.
Yay yay.
Probably not...
but are there exercises that players can do to strengthen their core muscles to prevent injuries from happening? Let’s say you have a network administrator at your office. Every week your network goes down. One week it’s the server, next week it’s a driver problem, the week after it’s the router, and the week after that it’s bad cables. Your network guy pinpoint the problem eventually. But without fail, the network is down every week and your office’s productivity goes down the tubes. Do you fire the guy? It’s not really his fault that the server went down again is it? Who is responsible? Is anyone responsible? Should your company just file for bankruptcy because you can’t get any work done and you lose all your clients? Or should you put an ad for a new network guy just in case yours is incompetent?
New Network Guy 100% so he can Re-wire the Network and perform Hi-Quality Professional Preventive Maintenance on a Daily Schedule
This is a Metaphor.

Yeah...
in a normal business, you are judged by the end result. Your clients won’t tolerate excuses, especially if it happens time and time again. Every injury the Clippers have had over the years is a “freak” injury, and no one is to blame. There is no accountability within the organization. These injuries will continue to happen. It won’t matter which players we get. If we get Lebron, he will tear his achilles in the first week. Not because of curses, Yahweh, or anything supernatural, but because of incompetency of the training staff.
