For people going to the game this friday: Pls read this

Hey guys...for those of you going to the clippers game this friday against the nuggets, I think we should all start a "Fire Dunleavy" chant. The game is going to be on espn and I think it would be pretty embarrassing for dunleavy and donald sterling if we can get the whole arena to go along with us...what do you guys think??

not really…its just one or two people and no one is really paying attention …but if we all do it it would be pretty funny

Fire Dunleavy guys...

are pioneers for a brave new clipper future. They will be there…will you?

my friend was had an extra ticket for this game

but there’s parking fee and gas money that i would prefer to keep and about 3-4 hours of my life that i’d rather spend on something more exciting…..
if i ever go back to a clippers game i will make sure to start a fire dunleavy chant….because we know he’ll be there unless unless sterling wakes up from his dream

I have tickets, but can't make it.

Whoever that’s interested in going… Let me know. Chant Fire Dunleavy for me. And somehow hope the clippers can win.

I think I’m losing hope for our team already. Why is this happening…

If your looking for Nugget-Clipper game tickets

I just got a email earlier this morning where upper level tickets are 9 dollers and lower levels are 30. Code work: clippers. I also got another email saying for every ticket you buy, you get a 15 doller food offer to Rosa Mexicano in LA Live. If not, I might’ve read it wrong, but I see 15 doller certificate…

by JackduhSun on Nov 19, 2009 9:11 PM PST up reply actions

Yes, you read it right. It won't be long before they offer $200. seats for $30.

O.k., now why do I feel like a chump? Oh yeah, I purchased tickets again this year – but at least they’re only half season. I wonder if Rex Ryan has any tissue left?

Screw the chant

I think everyone should walk out at the start of the 4th quarter. We should hand out flyers on the street before the game stating our purpose. When the 4th quarter starts we all get up and walk out. Doing this on national TV would go a lot further than just chanting fire Dunleavy.

I'd be more impressed if I could actually hear the fan supporting their team (when we're not stinking it up lol)

It’s dead quite there. You want to see a better team, let them know you’re there and give them some confidence. Home court is supposed to be an advantage, no wonder they play better on the road.

Tough spot to be in

We want a change to be made but also want to support the team. Do we cheer the team and therefore endorse MDSr or is it a necessary evil for us to boo both so we can get the desired outcome.

I’ll boo Dunleavy before the game starts and if we are losing then we start the chants.

Long time supporter

From the good ole day of the Jackson jiggle, to Matt Fish and Keith Closs, and everyone in between. When the talent was lacking, the hustle and hard working mentality was not and that made Clippers basketball exciting. Did not win very much and got blown out on numerous occasions, but when the product on the court leaves you with nothing to cheer for, it’s hard to get excited and root for the Clippers. The Clippers are the only NBA team with 39 home games and 43 road games and unfortunately it looks like it might become 82 road games very soon if something doesn’t change. A change will signify that the executives know there is a problem and are trying to fix it. If nothing is done, it shows the paying fans that they do not care about winning but only the bottom line (business as usual).

cmon man...

you’re making the Clipper fans look like idiots, especially in case they post that on national TV! There are many effective ways to show our disdain for our team without making the fans look bad. How about not show up on the games at all? BOOOO when they’re playing lethargic. Making those chants are only bringing down the morale of the team and will make the Clipper nation look bad.

by clipFanInSD on Nov 19, 2009 11:37 AM PST reply actions

Better idea....

Maybe I’ll start a petition where the Clippers can move to a different location…I think the curse of the Clippers comes from the fact that they are playing under the shadow of the Lakers and they need a new identity. Rename the team and make them move to a city where they can have a new beginning, a new start. I vote for San Diego, but I’ll be content with the City of Industry or move to Anaheim and call them the Los Angeles of Anaheim.

I beg to differ

It makes it look like Clipper nation actually cares.

whoa....

the “insert-team-name-here” wasn’t printed. Oh well, I was trying to say the “City of Industry something” or Los Angeles something of Anaheim. We don’t need no stinking Clipper name.

We are on ESPN tomorrow

instead of chanting, we should all just make fire dunleavy signs (will they let us bring them into Staples?).

LOL..

You should put that on a poster and take it to tonight’s game.. Maybe they’ll put in on TV.

'Cause how you play, is how you'll be remembered. PLAY LOUD!

you can make posters

but they have a strict size restriction. During one of my games, someone was proposing to his wife and his family and friends had signs too huge. Eventually they let them in however, but I assume they wouldnt be as nice about it if its something such as fire dunleavy!
