CANCELLING MY SEASON TICKETS!!!

I have been a season ticket holder since 2003. My wife and I had twin girls last year and although we are fans of the Clippers, we were not sure how 1.5 year old would do at a game. We were sold season tickets with assurances from our rep Andrew Scott that we could cancel at anytime and get a refund on the remaining tickets if it didn't work out. After two games into the season, it was obvious that two 1.5 year old toddlers would not be able to sit still for 2+ hours. We requested a refund and were promptly told that there would not be any refunds this season. In addition, my account rep was fired last week so I don't even have someone to corroborate my story.

My question is this: Last season when they were pushing season ticket renewals, did they ever promise the season ticket holders the opportunity to cancel if they were not happy THIS season? I really feel like I was totally mislead. The sad thing is that I could pretty much pick and choose the games I want to goto for much less on the ticket exchange with better seats! Can someone help me with info?

Unless you have it in writing somewhere

You are stuck in a he said she said type deal. I never heard of anyone being able to cancel season tickets once the amount was paid in full (a deposit is a different story). Who was your ticket rep?

Are there others that want to cancel now?

Maybe if we get enough STH’s together something will shake loose?

We can complain

but pretty sure we can’t cancel. If someone does know how to cancel let me know as I’d be interested.

I’m still holding out hope that BG will help us turn it around but Dunleavy is dead to me now. As long as DTS keeps him around I won’t renew my tickets (and I have 4 of them) next year. Hey he wants to get his moneys worth, so do I.

Maybe the misleading promise is why the rep got fired?

Too Late Now, But

Perhaps someone who thinks bringing TWO 1 and 1/2 years old to an NBA game is a good idea, should not be passing on his DNA. I’m sure season ticket holders near you and your little darlings are happy to see you cancel.

Ouch, he is my representative. Wonder if I’ll still get the courtside seats he promised me.

I was promised some too

I better get a hold of my season ticket rep today.

My rep also got fired/quit

When she was selling me the tickets, I don’t really remember if I could cancel anytime, but I do remember hearing something about that.

Now I have a new rep and it was weird.

So glad I didn't renew

I felt like you guys last year so this year I said forget it! As stated you can pretty much go to any game you want and sit in better seats for less money. I got an email this week for $9 Denver tickets and although it’s not supposed to happen I’m pretty sure a lot of people sitting near the front just moved up during the game cause it’s so empty.

The only draw for me to have season tickets before was that the team was at least competitive and played with effort. That and to get good seats for Lakers, Cleveland, Boston, etc…

But at those games I found myself surrounded by so many obnoxious opponent fans it just ruined my night when they’d laugh in our faces as the Clips lost. After HD I’ve been much more content to just stay at home and watch even though I live so close to Staples…

Sad.

You cannot get a refund from any team

I believe there is an NBA wide policy to never allow refunds. They will only allow you to return tickets purchased for credit towards future purchases.
Usually this has to do with mini plans or playoffs ticket purchases, it totally sucks that you are on the hook for season tickets.
