He also did Los Angeles Clipper games, locally, with Ralph Lawler, and was an absolute hoot. I've never heard a pair have so much fun dealing with such little substance, but Walton and Lawler weren't just taking the piss out of a Clipper/Warriors game. They were legitimately enjoying themselves, and I've yet to hear anything that comes close to that, spewing out of my satellite dish. I've kept the same speakers, in a fit of superstition, hoping that something else shows up. No dice.

Some very kind words for KD about our beloved pair. I really do miss Walton's banter with Ralph. They were great together.

Agreed
I hated Mike Smith at first b/c he was no Walton. But Ralph and Mike have developed a nice chemistry too. Meanwhile, Walton was terrible for ESPN. Nowhere near as good w/o Ralph.
Speaks to how much Ralph makes his colleagues better.
that's so true
MILPH grew on me and are just a notch below WALPH. Definetly the height of his broadcasting career. I could not stand him on ESPN…seemed like he had no one to reign him in like Ralph did…Ralph is the master! Even made Jessica’s other man (we all know CS is her main squeeze!) seemed interesting last season.

Ralph could make anybody sound like a good announcer when they are partnered with him
he is just that good.
