Clips Nation Viewing Party - Don't Leave Me Hanging People

Alright Citizens, we have about a dozen people who have said that they're going to be at the viewing party tonight.  That would be great and all, but seems to me that 40 or so would be a lot better.

You're going to be watching the game anyway.  Why not do it while drinking some beer and hanging out with other Clipper fans?  I know Long Beach is a haul for some of you, but it's not that bad.  And if you're anywhere within a half hour, you'd better have a pretty good excuse if you're not there.

Here's the info again:

Date: TONIGHT!

Time: Game starts at 7:30 PM, I'll be there about 7 I'm guessing

Opponent: Golden State Warriors (should be a fun game, and a winnable game too)

Location:  The Beach Club Sports Bar

5755 E. Pacific Coast Highway, Long Beach (near where PCH and Bellflower and 7th intersect, by the Ralphs)

We'll be on the patio, so bring a jacket in case it's cold (they have heaters also).

Sorry

Long Beach is a little far for me. I know you said not to complain about the viewing party being in Long Beach, but since you complained that not enough people are going I figured the rules were off :)

Cyberspace versus physical space

It has to be somewhere. It would be far for most people no matter where we did it. If it’s too far for you, that’s cool.

I might make the 2nd half

I’m in DTLA but the 110 is brutal on Fridays (well every weekday really).

Sounds like a blast, but I can’t make it to Long Beach. I’ll be watching the game at Sports Harbour in Marina Del Ray with a couple friends. If anyone else is interested, it would be great to have a larger Clipper presence there to drown out the Laker fans.

Wish I could make it

But driving to LB on a Fri night would take me at least 2.5 hrs. Not complaining, just explaining.

Have fun tho guys.

2.5 hours?

Yeah, I guess that’s a good reason.

Still planning to be there...

… although in light of possible failed traffic management, it might be shortly after tipoff.

Friday nights are bad for me

…except the last Friday of each month.

I promise to go to the next one if it’s on the last friday of the month.

Have Fun!

Quick question

Is it 21 and over? or 18 and over? I’m 19 years old.

I can't wait for this!!

I’m lucky b/c Long Beach is only a few miles away from Cerritos. Let’s make the night even better with a W tonight. It’ll definitely be fun.

Guys

Is it 21 and over? Please let me know, because I won’t be able to come if it is.

Is your whole family a Clipper fan?!?!?

Sorry Bestclipfan, but it seems like your whole family is one, which is great. My family seems to consist of Laker fans or Jordan fans… I’m the only Clippers fan…

by JackduhSun on Nov 7, 2009 2:36 AM PST up reply actions

kind of...

my dad is a clipper fan because I’m a clipper fan and he really isn’t too much of a sports fan. But my mom is much more of a clipper fan then my dad although she is much more pessimistic about them then I am.
