This game is on NBATV
So don’t worry if you can’t find it on NBALP. I hope the Clippers play well and are ready to hustle for loose balls. The Rockets wont give up on a single play, so the Clippers have to be ready to play.
Scola is also playing so we are going to need a real good
game from everyone to pull this one out.
In Gordon we trust
That is just our luck
he was to be out for this game due to injury, but now he is playing. While EJ was a game-time decision and he isn’t! That really sucks :(
Seven stitches in his eyelid
You think that might distract him?
Interesting games tonight
What’s up with the Suns? 29 points in the first half.
And then there’s the Hawks with 146!
Grizz and TWolves going down to the wire.
Anybody know
what happened to Charlie Villinueva?
He’s on my fantasy team but it says that he’s hurt
BG, EJ, BD LETS GO CLIPPERS!!!
Broken nose, from ESPN
They only mention him missing one game.
I like how NBATV doesnt even mention EJ
The national media really has no clue who he is, lol. No wonder he didnt make the All-Star ballott.
Let's pause and think real quick.....
In the beginning of the season we were licking our chops at facing the Rockets, they are missing their centerpiece and are arguably more depleted than us.
Yet now we are scared to play them head on?
Back & Forth Game
Both teams playing well, who’s over-performing more?
Brooks getting way too many easy point
Nearly has his season average already. BD doing great on the offensive end but we need Bassy’s speed. Brooks just way too quick for the aging BD.
by dulciusEXasperis on Dec 2, 2009 7:58 PM PST up reply actions
i dont think BD is “aging”. aaron brooks is argueably the fastest guard inthe nba. he is a tough cover for most guards.
BD can't even keep up with Nash
He’s getting up there.

Sheisty Carryover
Just pull up if you’re gonna try something…
Telfair in there
They should put BD out there with him tonight.
Playin' good ball right now.. keep it goin!
'Cause how you play, is how you'll be remembered. PLAY LOUD!

bad time to be in a slump. These guys usually play amazing contract years ;)

Holy Crap
Toughest shot of the year goes for Butler.
yeah they don't make me want to go to Taiwan
I thought Japan was supposed to make the weird commercials
In Gordon we trust
I’m Asian (speaking Cantonese) but I know some Mandarin and I think they’re speaking Japanese. Strangely.
the flying old man and flying lady are speaking japanese, the other old man in the hot springs and floating at the end is speaking Taiwanese/Hokkien
i believe they are trying to show Taiwan’s roots (part of Japanese Empire for 50 years and native Taiwanese/Hokkien people)

Can I

At least they’re all around the holiday season, where stuffs are cheaper.

I got an authentic Gordon red Clippers jersey on sunday
NBAStore.com had 15% off your total purchase and it was also one of the only times adult jerseys were part of the sale. I purchased myself a red Eric Gordon size 48 :-) I cant wait to get it in another week or so.
I'm getting Camby I think.
But EJ would be my second choice for sure.
by The Only Team That Matters on Dec 2, 2009 8:46 PM PST reply actions
Clips need to stop isolating players on the wing
they need more movement in the offense. Make the Rockets move.
I seriously don't get
the bad luck or lack of effort in getting the rebounds. Just wow.
Surprisingly
We’re outrebounding them overall.
Great time to take Baron outta the game.. when things were rollin'
'Cause how you play, is how you'll be remembered. PLAY LOUD!
C'mon 4th quarter
Turn on the crazy block party/swarming D. C’mon Clips!
hey guys,,,,, just want to say
were going into this 4th quarter still in the game against a tough team. regardless of the outcome, you have to like the effort.
I hope Kaman keeps jacking rushed J's...
cause thats really been working so far…dude needs to post up instead of playing like an SG…thats a big reason we can’t rebound
"I want someone who will, you know, let me put it in or who [will] suck on it." – Donald Sterling
Sarcasm BTW...
Kaman is 5-14 with 5 rebs…Camby is 3-5 with 16 rebs…which one is playing smarter
"I want someone who will, you know, let me put it in or who [will] suck on it." – Donald Sterling
I think Baron might've pulled somethin' on that dunk that he had

BD looks hurt.
They’ve been stretching him out on the side.

Dunleavy
Has 3 players in the game with a negative +/-
http://scores.espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=291202012
Put in Deandre! His one minute gave a +2 differential
"I want someone who will, you know, let me put it in or who [will] suck on it." – Donald Sterling
You'll also notice...
Houston’s entire 5 is in the positive….
"I want someone who will, you know, let me put it in or who [will] suck on it." – Donald Sterling
Ariza was not a good pickup for that team
Roger Sterling: To my knees, Don. They're bringing to my knees!"
Thornton...
Has 19 points yet his +/- is -9….thats really bad….
"I want someone who will, you know, let me put it in or who [will] suck on it." – Donald Sterling
It means...
He is creating shots for himself (6-10) and getting to the line (7-8) but he is not helping his team at all…I’d rather have a wing score 5 points but create then have one score 20 and kill his team in the process
"I want someone who will, you know, let me put it in or who [will] suck on it." – Donald Sterling
+/- is a silly stat
he’s doing fine. Much rather have Butler sit out the rest of the season.
by dulciusEXasperis on Dec 2, 2009 9:36 PM PST up reply actions
0-8 on Three's...
and yet Novak is a DNP so far…I bet he gets in with about 90 seconds left…

Well, doesn't look like we're gonna get this one.

looking close to over....
it was nice to see how a well coached team is supposed to play like….and the clippers as well of course

They have a coaching advantage...
Adelman > Dunleavy
"I want someone who will, you know, let me put it in or who [will] suck on it." – Donald Sterling
Which is why
they should play D more. The offense not going, the D will keep them in the game.
by RockyMountain on Dec 2, 2009 9:37 PM PST up reply actions
True that.
Playing D is easier though, just need effort. O needs skills.
by RockyMountain on Dec 2, 2009 9:39 PM PST up reply actions
Shot selection...
should be practice 101…I dont think they ever address it, or if they do, it goes in one ear and out the other…
"I want someone who will, you know, let me put it in or who [will] suck on it." – Donald Sterling
We don't have anyone who can shoot from outside
is what I mean. They have plenty.
It starts on defense
we learned that sunday
YOU HAVE TO PLAY INTENSE DEFENSE!!!
that way we get on the break
thats how we score!!!
BG, EJ, BD LETS GO CLIPPERS!!!
Come on guys...
we have two injured players…clearly this is the reason the entire team sucks…

Butler really in a slump right now.
Nothing works for him.

Time is running out.

No idea why Dun leaves him out there.

you're telling me novak can't guard buddinger?
Roger Sterling: To my knees, Don. They're bringing to my knees!"
Still
When the offense is as dead as it’s been in the 2nd half, and with no one able to shoot from outside, you have to go to Novak.
i ricky d did a good job of boxing him out on that off board and dunk by buddinger
Roger Sterling: To my knees, Don. They're bringing to my knees!"
All I can say is Eric Gordon means everything to this team
There isnt a player that can do the things he does defensively, offensively, etc…
agree 100%
he is the MVP of this team.
by The Blake Griffin Era on Dec 2, 2009 9:47 PM PST up reply actions
Ridiculously inconsistent
Houston has less talent . . .
Do they?
They have plenty of shooters, the only one we have is Novak.
One would think
that our bigs would have their way and that our wings would hold their own.
One would think.

We have no depth
EJ misses one game and we look like a WNBA team.
I can’t wait for Blake to play, we are forced to play Kaman on nights like this when he looks terrible becuase our lack of depth.
Get well soon EJ and Blake, this team is terrible without you.
by The Blake Griffin Era on Dec 2, 2009 9:46 PM PST reply actions
And Chris is in love with his flawed jumpshot...
He will jack a 20 footer with 15 seconds left and then we have one G in there vs. 2 forwards and we wonder why we dont rebound….our big man thinks hes a guard only his % is more like a waterboy

Chris Kaman has to understand
that when he is playing emberrassingly horribly suckishly badly, he DOESNT NEED TO KEEP SHOOTING
BG, EJ, BD LETS GO CLIPPERS!!!
Yeah...
Good thing he has a great coach who will tell him that…or…shit, he doesn’t have that does he?
"I want someone who will, you know, let me put it in or who [will] suck on it." – Donald Sterling
Can we ease up on the cursing?
I know the team is frustrating but this is a family friendly blog. ;)
Kaman's line...
Chris Kaman, C 41 5-16 0-1 0-0 1 4 5 2 1 0 4 4 -12 10
"I want someone who will, you know, let me put it in or who [will] suck on it." – Donald Sterling
41 minutes...
He shoots sub 30%, 5 rebs against 4 TO’s and a +/- of -9
"I want someone who will, you know, let me put it in or who [will] suck on it." – Donald Sterling
but if he'd have 45 mins...
then the percentages would’ve equalized…man I wish I were savvy
"I want someone who will, you know, let me put it in or who [will] suck on it." – Donald Sterling
did AT or anyone else slash to the hoop when kaman was on the block?
Roger Sterling: To my knees, Don. They're bringing to my knees!"
am i the only one who would start novak and gordon to get some outside shooting established with kaman's post game
but have thornton play the majority of the game

Im starting to think Kamans early season success was not a good thing...
His jumpshot was on and now he resorts to it all the time…rather than doing what he should be doing….work it around the basket.
It should be: option 1 – post up, option 2 – jumpshot
he seems to be doing it the other way around
Fire Dunleavy chants continue in the Star Plaza

GM or coach?
I’m starting to wonder if it’s the GM’s fault or the coaches fault. I mean, look at this team. Tonight’s game vs. the Rockets was a great example of contrasting ideologies. The Rockets seem to place a high value on intangibles and high basketball IQ. Their system, with all the injuries, is based on sharing the ball, spacing the floor, making the extra pass, taking smart shots, helping on D, etc. How many players on the Clips would the Warriors even be interested in? Probably just EJ.
The Rockets have players who have numerous short comings, but play smart and work hard every night. They maximize the talent they have. The Clips on the other hand never seem to live up to their potential. They clearly have the capacity to perform like they did in the 4th vs. the Grizz, but rarely put out that kind of effort.
Everyone seems to praise Dunleavy the GM and kill Dunleavy the coach. Personally, I say do away with both.
Typo
How many players on the Clips would theWarriorseven be interested in? Probably just EJ.
Meant Rockets.
The Warriors would LOVE our low IQ shot jackers…
you're not savvy enough, so
your common sense logic does not apply

Yup...
we’ll beat them for sure…just like Memphis
"I want someone who will, you know, let me put it in or who [will] suck on it." – Donald Sterling
hopefully...
Jersey will win a game before we play them.
Indy just beat us without Granger...
now Granger and Dunleavy Jr are back. This Clippers team can’t assume to beat ANYBODY. The Nets included. We’re capable of losing to anyone on any given night, especially without Eric in the lineup. I assume that we were underdogs tonight against Houston, and I will assume that we will be underdogs against Indiana as well. Simply put, they are better squads than we are, personnel be damned.
how sad is that
usually, you want to root for a team that is capable of BEATING anyone on any given night, but this team has been reduced to the opposite.
did we almost become a memphis?
Houston outscored Los Angeles 16-3 over the final 6:52 after a layup by Marcus Camby.~NBA.com I dont know how to quote so…
Nice try
Clippers got stuck and had a brain lapse in the second half what was the cure go to Chris Kaman in the post with no ball movement.
not targeting the low post with the size advantage, attacking the rim hard enough without ej. fire dunleavy seems to be the only answer. they seemed a little energetic tonight to get a win too, until the half when things started falling apart with kaman missing and not even getting boards. one word, horrible
Clips' Nation
Eagles!
Brutal
But that we masterful D by Houston in the 2nd half. Adelman implored the PHX Defense, he placed a bigger defender on Baron. They took away Baron’s ability to bully the little guys and then forced Butler to make entry passes to the post. Butler was a terrible entry passer.
They used Ariza to guard the only other perimeter player who create his own shot, AT.
The D for Houston was on fire.
Another note
Nets took our record of worst start ever
I'm scared to death of New Jersey...
I’m glad we don’t play them early in the year. I can see this Clippers team “overlooking” New Jersey and getting blown out empathically for the Nets first win.
