Gordon out tonight

start to sool?

BG, EJ, BD LETS GO CLIPPERS!!!

by LJ Hann on Dec 2, 2009 7:25 PM PST reply actions

This game is on NBATV

So don’t worry if you can’t find it on NBALP. I hope the Clippers play well and are ready to hustle for loose balls. The Rockets wont give up on a single play, so the Clippers have to be ready to play.

by NBAFAN8 on Dec 2, 2009 7:25 PM PST reply actions

Scola is also playing so we are going to need a real good

game from everyone to pull this one out.

In Gordon we trust

by bestclipfan on Dec 2, 2009 7:26 PM PST reply actions

That is just our luck

he was to be out for this game due to injury, but now he is playing. While EJ was a game-time decision and he isn’t! That really sucks :(

by NBAFAN8 on Dec 2, 2009 7:27 PM PST up reply actions

dammit

i guess that limits landry and hayes’ min, which is good cause they tend to kill us

i hope

he plays horribly as a result

Interesting games tonight

What’s up with the Suns? 29 points in the first half.

And then there’s the Hawks with 146!

Grizz and TWolves going down to the wire.

by SilverClip on Dec 2, 2009 7:35 PM PST reply actions

Anybody know

what happened to Charlie Villinueva?

He’s on my fantasy team but it says that he’s hurt

BG, EJ, BD LETS GO CLIPPERS!!!

Broken nose, from ESPN

They only mention him missing one game.

by SilverClip on Dec 2, 2009 7:42 PM PST up reply actions

good

thanks!

BG, EJ, BD LETS GO CLIPPERS!!!

by LJ Hann on Dec 2, 2009 7:47 PM PST up reply actions

I like how NBATV doesnt even mention EJ

The national media really has no clue who he is, lol. No wonder he didnt make the All-Star ballott.

by NBAFAN8 on Dec 2, 2009 7:42 PM PST reply actions

Let's pause and think real quick.....

In the beginning of the season we were licking our chops at facing the Rockets, they are missing their centerpiece and are arguably more depleted than us.

Yet now we are scared to play them head on?

by Newtybar on Dec 2, 2009 7:43 PM PST reply actions

I doubt the team is scared to play them

I think it is just the fans that are scared of the Rockets.

Sool

Back & Forth Game

Both teams playing well, who’s over-performing more?

by ghost_ride on Dec 2, 2009 7:55 PM PST reply actions

Brooks getting way too many easy point

Nearly has his season average already. BD doing great on the offensive end but we need Bassy’s speed. Brooks just way too quick for the aging BD.

by dulciusEXasperis on Dec 2, 2009 7:58 PM PST up reply actions

i dont think BD is “aging”. aaron brooks is argueably the fastest guard inthe nba. he is a tough cover for most guards.

by hans007 on Dec 2, 2009 8:07 PM PST up reply actions

Butler's D

Has been pretty good so far.

I hope Kaman keeps jacking rushed J's...

cause thats really been working so far…dude needs to post up instead of playing like an SG…thats a big reason we can’t rebound

It means...

He is creating shots for himself (6-10) and getting to the line (7-8) but he is not helping his team at all…I’d rather have a wing score 5 points but create then have one score 20 and kill his team in the process

he seems to be doing it the other way around

by Newtybar on Dec 2, 2009 9:53 PM PST reply actions

GM or coach?

I’m starting to wonder if it’s the GM’s fault or the coaches fault. I mean, look at this team. Tonight’s game vs. the Rockets was a great example of contrasting ideologies. The Rockets seem to place a high value on intangibles and high basketball IQ. Their system, with all the injuries, is based on sharing the ball, spacing the floor, making the extra pass, taking smart shots, helping on D, etc. How many players on the Clips would the Warriors even be interested in? Probably just EJ.

The Rockets have players who have numerous short comings, but play smart and work hard every night. They maximize the talent they have. The Clips on the other hand never seem to live up to their potential. They clearly have the capacity to perform like they did in the 4th vs. the Grizz, but rarely put out that kind of effort.

Everyone seems to praise Dunleavy the GM and kill Dunleavy the coach. Personally, I say do away with both.

Yup...

we’ll beat them for sure…just like Memphis

hopefully...

Jersey will win a game before we play them.

Indy just beat us without Granger...

now Granger and Dunleavy Jr are back. This Clippers team can’t assume to beat ANYBODY. The Nets included. We’re capable of losing to anyone on any given night, especially without Eric in the lineup. I assume that we were underdogs tonight against Houston, and I will assume that we will be underdogs against Indiana as well. Simply put, they are better squads than we are, personnel be damned.

how sad is that

usually, you want to root for a team that is capable of BEATING anyone on any given night, but this team has been reduced to the opposite.

Houston outscored Los Angeles 16-3 over the final 6:52 after a layup by Marcus Camby.~NBA.com I dont know how to quote so…

Nice try

Clippers got stuck and had a brain lapse in the second half what was the cure go to Chris Kaman in the post with no ball movement.

not targeting the low post with the size advantage, attacking the rim hard enough without ej. fire dunleavy seems to be the only answer. they seemed a little energetic tonight to get a win too, until the half when things started falling apart with kaman missing and not even getting boards. one word, horrible

Brutal

But that we masterful D by Houston in the 2nd half. Adelman implored the PHX Defense, he placed a bigger defender on Baron. They took away Baron’s ability to bully the little guys and then forced Butler to make entry passes to the post. Butler was a terrible entry passer.
They used Ariza to guard the only other perimeter player who create his own shot, AT.

The D for Houston was on fire.

Another note

Nets took our record of worst start ever

I'm scared to death of New Jersey...

I’m glad we don’t play them early in the year. I can see this Clippers team “overlooking” New Jersey and getting blown out empathically for the Nets first win.
