Clipper Philosophy 101

I’m not going to get my hopes up but I have my hopes up…

bad start no sound on league pass

by UK Clip on Dec 21, 2009 5:44 PM PST reply actions

Well, at least we're not down by 20 yet

"look, you can find any coach you want, bring him in here and run the situation. But I don't think they are going to do as good a job as I do." -Mike Dunleavy Sr.

Not bad

We don’t look intimidated. The Spurs put their pants on one leg at a time.

by SilverClip on Dec 21, 2009 5:52 PM PST reply actions

Blake's tests tomorrow

Lisa Dillman just tweeted that Griffin will undergo his tests tomorrow the 22nd.

by Hooch20 on Dec 21, 2009 5:58 PM PST reply actions

why does it seem

I’m only watching Baron and Kamen play. EJ isn’t getting any touches whatsoever

by peterghost on Dec 21, 2009 5:58 PM PST reply actions

i hate the spurs

gotta be the dullest team in the nba

DJ still needs a lot of work

"look, you can find any coach you want, bring him in here and run the situation. But I don't think they are going to do as good a job as I do." -Mike Dunleavy Sr.

Dunleavy doesn't have a clue.

Against the Knicks Kaman got an early rest, against the Sixers Kaman didn’t rest until the 2nd, and tonight he goes with the early rest.

by Hooch20 on Dec 21, 2009 6:06 PM PST reply actions

No way.

I really want to watch, win or lose. That’s the only way I’ll know what’s wrong with the team. Or EJ for that matter.

I have about 5 sites, and they're all blocked

vintage spurs vs clippers

some 40 year old who i thought retired steppin it up…..

by UK Clip on Dec 21, 2009 6:09 PM PST reply actions

lol

Who thought we really had a chance in the firs place we need a change of culture to take it to the next step fire Dunleavy.

by KillaClip on Dec 21, 2009 6:10 PM PST reply actions

Keep it close, Clips!

I’d almost rather be down by a few, the way the last two games have gone.

by SilverClip on Dec 21, 2009 6:15 PM PST reply actions

mediocre team.. that's all we're going to be with this group

"look, you can find any coach you want, bring him in here and run the situation. But I don't think they are going to do as good a job as I do." -Mike Dunleavy Sr.

by CLiPPz WeRD 12 on Dec 21, 2009 6:21 PM PST reply actions

Agree 100%

I’d rather blow it all up and build around Gordon, Griffin, and cap space. We’re never going to be better than average with the way this team is built.

As built we have players that would contribute nicely on other team, but don’t fit together.

Our team was built on reactions from problems. We weren’t built with a vision.

by Hooch20 on Dec 21, 2009 6:23 PM PST up reply actions

Somebody's got to get hot

We can’t keep scraping out baskets. AT seems more likely to step up than EJ right now

by SilverClip on Dec 21, 2009 6:23 PM PST reply actions

I think if we can keep this close

we can surprise them in the 4th. I want the team to figure out the opponent in the 4th, not in the first 3 quarters. Because lets face it, teams adjust to us better than we adjust to them. So maybe we have a chance if we keep it close.

by RockyMountain on Dec 21, 2009 6:23 PM PST reply actions

oh yeah that's gonna happen

we are going to win this game in the 4th quarter, then tomorrow brett farv is gonna anounce his retiremente after the season, and actually retire

+1

Did they miss a single 20 footer?

by SilverClip on Dec 21, 2009 6:44 PM PST up reply actions

We just aren't capable of beating good teams.

The reasoning is simple: we aren’t a good team.

I've got nothing.

by bc56274 on Dec 21, 2009 6:44 PM PST reply actions

Kaman is having a heck of a game

course I’m going off the box score but 19 pts 15 rebounds and only midway through the 3rd?

Here’s your chance to play some big minutes

tomorrow @ Houston.. Should look similar to this game

they got 3good looks on the last play

If Mr. Perrins misses all this in his review I have a Epic Fail sign ready.

by KillaClip on Dec 21, 2009 7:22 PM PST reply actions

How do you get beat by 25 points?

Again how do you get beat by 25 points TWICE by the same team, didn’t you learn the first time?

by highriser on Dec 21, 2009 7:33 PM PST reply actions

Kaman played well

the Spurs just own us. Spurs and Hornets.

by big0lbad on Dec 21, 2009 7:33 PM PST reply actions

Nice Fu*king bench the Clips got!

supposed to be our strong point. sure. one of the clip players needs to throw a punch or kick the ball into the stands and show some emotion!

"Every man dies, not every man really lives."

by kingjames10 on Dec 21, 2009 7:35 PM PST reply actions

nice when you have a bench who can pour out 53 points.

I’m jealous they have Evans. Not that I wish we picked him over Blake just always liked those large PG’s.

He might not be a pass first PG but he’s a solid defender and a pretty good scorer. He’s been big for them in crunch time with a huge steal against Arenas to secure the win and a game winner against the Bucks.

by dulciusEXasperis on Dec 21, 2009 7:51 PM PST up reply actions

camby 6pts and 4rbs in 24 mins! wtf

only 185 days til the draft!

by CLiPPz WeRD 12 on Dec 21, 2009 7:46 PM PST reply actions

Evans is a monster and Jenningsis there to

Blake better have what it takes or Evans is going to look like the steal of the draft this guy is no fluke.

by KillaClip on Dec 21, 2009 7:47 PM PST reply actions

Game was lost when Kaman sat in the 1st

And EJ had his 2nd lousy game in a row vs the Spurs

by SilverClip on Dec 21, 2009 7:49 PM PST reply actions

Count me in.. Something needs to change here

Bassy + Skinner for Nate works...

No thanks on the Nate thing, I think that guy is the last kind of player the Clips need.

San Antonio played great today, and the Clippers didn’t, but I don’t think this is one of those losses that warrants trade talk.

Yay yay.

Trade Exception

Don’t we have a trade exception left? We could just take him for free once he’s off the base year compensation I think.

FA in 2010.

by ClipperChuck on Dec 21, 2009 11:50 PM PST up reply actions

Change was meant by firing Dunleavy

This team thinks too much while holding the thought processes of a losing team.We play like the no talent teams 3 years ago and before. We need a shake up something to get this team excited and confident.

by KillaClip on Dec 21, 2009 7:54 PM PST reply actions

I'm not a Dunleavy hater

but I suspect you’re right anyway. Didn’t Bird once say that coaches lose their effectiveness after 3 years?

by SilverClip on Dec 21, 2009 7:58 PM PST up reply actions

Dunleavy killed DJ's confidence

He should of played against the Knicks or 76ers limited bigs to build confidence. No he threw him out first quarter to the Spurs.

by KillaClip on Dec 21, 2009 7:58 PM PST reply actions

Well, Griffin supposedly has his tests tomorrow.

Any good news from that would help to put this game to rest.

by SilverClip on Dec 21, 2009 8:00 PM PST reply actions

Guys, it's good we didn't win.

First, Brian Skinner played well against Washington. Then we won in Philly after one of those “I can’t believe that happened, that was the most ridiculous shit I’ve ever seen” plays actually went in the Clippers favor. If the Clippers won in San Antonio I would be sure that the apocalypse was upon us. Now the Clips got blown out in San Antonio and I can breathe a sigh of relief — at least for now. Hopefully when the apocalypse does come, Brian Skinner will eat it.

Yay yay.
