Thank You to Citizen Doomee

Doomee hooked me up with some great seats to tonight's Clippers/Pacers contest and I just wanted to say a big 'Thank You'.

I know FanPosts aren't usually used for this sort of thing but, oh well.

Great seats, great game (well it was a little ugly, but a win is a win)

I owe you a beer at least Doomee.  Or maybe I'll send you a ham for the Holidays.

Sincerely,

Clipper T

Class act writing a thank you note, Clipper T. And very generous of Citizen Doomee for hooking you up.

I owe you a beer at least Doomee. Or maybe I’ll send you a ham for the Holidays.

That made me smile for some reason. Whichever it turns out, go with Black Forest.

The kids aren't alright.

Im not bold enough to make a fanpost

but big thanks to ClipperChuck for hooking me up with PR12’s tickets. If you read this ClipperChuck, THANKS! Btw, were you at the game tonight CC?

Yea

NP, always glad to help out a fellow Clipper fan, not too many of us out there. I was sitting at my usual seats in 107 right behind CD. Good to get a win albeit the game was very ugly for the most part.

A quick question Chuck:

what do you usually do with the other extra seat that you dont use?

by JackduhSun on Dec 6, 2009 5:13 PM PST up reply actions

Sell them or give them away as gifts to friends and family

You can sell tickets on the Clippers site to other season ticket holders. I’m not looking to make money reselling my tickets (ie I never sell my tix vs the Lakers even though you can actually sell them pretty easily) and I often give them to employees or clients. Anyone here interested in a particular game just needs to drop me a message and I’ll sell them to you at about cost.

If that's the case, you wouldnt by any chance

have any Laker-Clipper tickets would you? Would love to standout in my blue/red jersey amongst the mass of Yellow/ Purple.

I'll get back to you on that

My business partner booked a pair of them BUT he often decides not to go. I can let you know for sure week of for that game (which is on Jan 6).

I got a extra pair of tickets for the Magic game (in either PR11 or 107) this Tuesday if anyone here is interested. Others are asking for 75$ apiece for this game, I’ll give them up for $60 apiece ($120 total then) if you go through me direct since ticketxchange charges 10% to the seller.

Whoops

Let me change that to $50 apiece

BTW*

I might be intrested in some sixer tickets on Dec. 31 if open. I want to get closer in on the action, somewhere behind Brand’s bench but I also hate hte idea of working with untrustworthy people like on Craiglist or Ebay..

Hmm

well I’ll cut you a good deal on the 107 tickets. You sit right next to Clipper Darrell so you can help him out on deriding Brand. Should work out for both your wallet and getting into his ear.

You have my man;

the PR’s were great. Granted the plastic glass in front of me seemed to have no real value, the seats were great and my girlfriend enjoyed them.

by JackduhSun on Dec 6, 2009 11:57 PM PST up reply actions

Glass

Yea its a bit annoying but at least no one can block your view. I like the VIP section plus you can order drinks and food from the seat.

How much do season tickets cost you CC???

I hear PR’s are practically the price for a car… how about 107’s???

by JackduhSun on Dec 6, 2009 10:51 PM PST up reply actions

A decent chunk

I feel a little ripped off since I got lured back in by BG after a awful experience last year (it was tough to even give away the tickets).

You get a nice discount (at least compared to face value) by buying the entire season. Of course you are also forced to watch the Clips play horrid teams like Minnesota, Charlotte etc more than you would readily want to admit to friends (though really these are the games you have to go to if you want to see the Clippers win). Also the Clippers keep offering “specials” that pretty much screw STHs by killing our resale values.

I got a good deal for the PR section because I already had seats in 107, in fact I technically pay more for the 107 per seat than I do for the PR ones. The real benefit though is your ticket rep will upgrade your seats from time to time (I get one courtside upgrade this year for instance), give you some free tickets from time to time (I got 10 preseason tickets to the OKC game in the 114 section) and invites to some team sponsored event (Dodgers game, Training Facility invite, draft party)

Actually the organization itself does a lot of the little things well but obviously the product on the court hasn’t always been of the highest caliber.

ClipperChuck

you have got to invite me to one them promotional deals to Dodger games..

On a side note, how are the court side tickets? I was imaging fucking amazing (yes, “F” HAD to be implied.) I’ve always dreamed of what courtside tickets looked like. Man would you ever upgrade to closer seats? Like Courtside for a better view, or 117’s for autos?

by JackduhSun on Dec 6, 2009 11:56 PM PST up reply actions

In this economy?

No, I can buy a Porsche for the kind of money a season of courtside tickets would cost me.

Its pretty sick, the closer you get up close to these guys the more you marvel how guys this big are still so coordinated. I saw the Kings and Clippers play towards the end of last year and even with these terrible teams (and players) running up and down you had to be impressed at how fluid they moved. I can only imagine how crazy a Lebron, Wade, Kobe etc must appear up close.

Dodger game

It was a one time thing, we got tickets in the all-you-can-eat pavilion. I couldn’t even make it and gave my tickets away. The Spirit actually came by our office to drop off our tickets in person and take some pictures with us (I think we get featured in some Clippers Newsletter this year).

Btw speaking of Clipper D

any chants I need to yell back while Clipper D is asking for some fans to support him?

Also, would you by any chance know Clipper D’s personal stance on Elton Brand? Is he betrayed, understaning, understanding but still going to torment him?

by JackduhSun on Dec 7, 2009 12:00 AM PST up reply actions

Just cheer him on

He uses pretty much the same material every game.

He calls them ugly during free throws (U-G-L-Y you ain’t got no alibi, you ugly, you ugly)

He chants lets go Clippers lets go (clap clap)

And when he does one where he says I go LA and you say Clippers (CD: LA US: Clippers! CD: LA! US: Clippers

Never asked him about Brand, you can add him on Facebook though and ask him.

You are very welcome Clipper T. I am glad the tickets went to use. I would rather give them away for free, than just have them sit on my desk. I am more glad that it went to a Clipper fan.

I found it a bit awkward

when I looked around me real quick, I saw someone wearing an Indiana University shirt (where Gordon is from) but was rooting for Indiana. Its understandable, but I would have thought he was on the side of Gordon…
