Clippers schedule is terrible

Does anyone notice that the nba must select the worst scheduling for clipper games.

I just noticed that they've played only 3 games between nov 30th and dec 12th... then play an absolutely brutal 7 games in 10 nights with the last 5 of those games on the road in 5 different cities?  I mean is that insane,  5 games in 7 nights all on the road?

then you get the lakers, who get 18 home games, in the first 21 games.  and dont have any thing absurd like 7 games in 10 nights on the road.  I mean seriously everything is stacked against them.  I would honestly hate to fly 6 times in 7 nights, let alone play a basketball game all those days.

that road trip honestly i think will be horrible.  a few of the teams are "bad" but i think if they win 2 of that 5 game road trip i'd consider it good.

in addition to

The fact that they play weary teams wheb they have back to backs and the Lakers are rested. The league loves the Lakers

Explanation

I know there is at least a partial explanation. The Clippers are paying less rent than the Lakers for the staples center, so the Lakers get first dibs on all the good time slots (ie – Fri/Sat night). Therefore, the Clippers need to get scheduled around the Lakers. Naturally, with less flexibility, they tend to get screwed on Road Trips and playing times.

I’m not 100% sure about this so someone please correct me if I’m wrong.

it still remains,

The lakers are still favored in the schedule. The Lakers favorable schedule over the Clippers at staples, still does not explain why they get all these teams on the second night of back to backs. When the Lakers go on the road on back to backs ie Denver—- they lost.

Money talks

the NBA needs to get the ratings to please the advertisers/sponsors. Seeing how the TV revenue is split amongst the teams it still benefits historically frugal teams like yep the Clips.

We have Brian Skinner on the Clippers.

I don’t care about the schedule, BSkinnz will eat all the days of the year—especially Sunday, it tastes the best.

Yay yay.

The Lakers schedule isn't that great

They have played way too many home games so far and will soon take to the road.
I think variations in schedule all equal out at the end…every team plays 41 at home and 41 on the road. Except of course for the Lakers, who have 43 at home. Nonetheless, all scheduling equals out..these are professional athletes we are talking about.

BtheKUTA, Clips mainly play Saturday nights….while the Lakers get Sunday nights. Clips get the good times when the Lakers on the road…but Kings and Clips will always be secondary to the Lakers at Staples, hence the Matinee weekend games we have. It doesn’t matter, the Lakers will have their road games before it’s done.

This is going to be my team, and we're going to rise together.

we are talking...

About teams coming in tired after the Lakers have rest. Of course all the teams play 41 and 41 but it is the way they are arranged

Of course...

We can’t forget that not only we share a building with the Lakers (ugh), but also the hockey Kings, as well as other events (concerts, family shows, wrestling, the Grammys, etc.). In most arenas, usually the NHL team gets scheduling priority, and that has to do with the NHL season starting nearly a month the NBA does. Also, scheduling at other arenas, especially those with NBA-NHL combos (Knicks-Rangers, Bulls-Blackhawks, Sixers-Flyers, Celtics-Bruins, Wizards-Capitals) can affect those at other arenas around the country, mention to the national TV partners (ESPN-ABC and TNT).

A good thing, though, at least this season…the Clippers only have four afternoon home season, compare to maybe twice as many each year in seasons past:

Sun November 29th: Memphis, 12:30pm
Sun January 10th: Miami, 12:30pm
Mon January 18th (MLK Day): New Jersey, 12:30pm
Sun March 21st: Sacramento, 12:30pm

It could be that the new Prime Ticket contact dictating having more Clipper home games to be at night.
