Sign up for Game Threads

As part of an ongoing emphasis on Game Threads, I'm going to try something new for the next few weeks.  Each Monday, I'll post a FanPost asking for volunteers to 'host' the game thread for the coming week.  The schedule will go through the following Monday.  So for instance, today I'm asking for volunteers for games through next Monday in Charlotte.  The responsibility of the host is to be there, and to be semi-active.  That's it.  I just want to make sure that there is someone representing Clips Nation on every thread.  Some citizens have stated that they appreciate the information available in the thread when they are unable to watch the game.  I also think we'll get more and more activity, and get more value out of the site, if everyone knows that Game Threads will always be available.

As I've mentioned in the past, I often run behind real time watching the game on the DVR, so it's not realistic for me to always be the host, as much as I would like to.  But I will host tonight.

The upcoming schedule is as follows:

• Wednesday @ Orlando 4 PM
• Friday @ Memphis 5 PM
• Saturday @ Atlanta 4 PM
• Monday @ Charlotte 4 PM (no local TV - very important that the host has League Pass or an available stream)

Volunteer to host one of the above Game Threads in the comments.  Obviously, this being an East Coast trip, some of those start times are pretty rough.  But it's all the more useful for the members of Clips Nation still at the office when the game tips off. 

We've had a couple dozen members on recent game threads, which is great - citizens like teejnut and Andyman and highriser have been really active.  But let's not leave it to Lawler's Law to get every conversation started.  Please sign up in the comments to host one of the above games.  It's not a major commitment - I'll understand if something else comes up and you can't do it.  But if you can, your job is simply to be online on the game thread and actively commenting about the game.  Drop a comment on the score every once in awhile, give us your impression of what's happening.  If the Charlotte announcers suck, tell us about it.
