we looking good so far

by teejnut on Feb 25, 2009 7:44 PM PST reply actions

6-3… doubling them up!

by ukdutch on Feb 25, 2009 7:45 PM PST reply actions

can a camby/randolph duo on their game v. a tired C’s team without Garnett do something?

by ukdutch on Feb 25, 2009 7:48 PM PST reply actions

not when camby pushes the ball up the floor like that and then turns it over. i cringe when i see camby take the ball up unnecessary.

by teejnut on Feb 25, 2009 7:49 PM PST up reply actions

turnovers

need to limit them tonight

by shoothoop on Feb 25, 2009 7:49 PM PST reply actions

EJ going to have his hands full trying to contain ray. ray has such a nice shot.

by teejnut on Feb 25, 2009 7:50 PM PST reply actions

and he’ll have to run around a lot of screens

by shoothoop on Feb 25, 2009 7:51 PM PST up reply actions

lets see BD’s hops. him and pierce jump ball

by teejnut on Feb 25, 2009 7:55 PM PST reply actions

BD won the tip! it’s quiet in here.

by teejnut on Feb 25, 2009 7:55 PM PST up reply actions

Gordon should be quiet- but if Jesus Shuttleworth is as well I’ll be happy

by ukdutch on Feb 25, 2009 7:56 PM PST reply actions

he’s cold so far from the 3. 0-2

by teejnut on Feb 25, 2009 7:58 PM PST up reply actions

maybe Gordon should come off the bench- who could play D against Ray?

by ukdutch on Feb 25, 2009 7:58 PM PST reply actions

its not that EJ cant play D on ray.

just watch perkins set up the screens, its almost impossible for him to get through them

by shoothoop on Feb 25, 2009 8:00 PM PST up reply actions

baron

didnt dunk on a OPEN lane

by Final692 on Feb 25, 2009 7:58 PM PST reply actions

at least he's playing some d

This is going to be my team, and we're going to rise together.
-Clipper Darrell

by oasisman on Feb 25, 2009 7:58 PM PST up reply actions

yep. he just took a charge from rando.

by teejnut on Feb 25, 2009 7:59 PM PST up reply actions

yeah i didnt mention that but hes playing loud! :D

by Final692 on Feb 25, 2009 7:59 PM PST up reply actions

ha! if you can’t play well…play… loud?

by ukdutch on Feb 25, 2009 8:00 PM PST up reply actions

SOO many illegal screens for EJ to work through

by shoothoop on Feb 25, 2009 7:58 PM PST reply actions

cassell is in the game… as a spectator

by teejnut on Feb 25, 2009 8:01 PM PST reply actions

mardy post up on rondo and scores.

by teejnut on Feb 25, 2009 8:03 PM PST reply actions

by Final692 on Feb 25, 2009 8:04 PM PST up reply actions

by teejnut on Feb 25, 2009 8:06 PM PST reply actions

dont wake him now :P

by Final692 on Feb 25, 2009 8:06 PM PST up reply actions

we are quiet also aren t we?

by edu_argentina on Feb 25, 2009 8:07 PM PST up reply actions

EJ is

and im hoping baron will “play loud”

by shoothoop on Feb 25, 2009 8:08 PM PST up reply actions

why doesn’t taylor play more? he was doing pretty well for us before the injury. the last two games it seems like MDsr just uses him for defense and fouls.

by teejnut on Feb 25, 2009 8:08 PM PST reply actions

HE's been out too long...

At this point, Freddie Jones and Mardy have sorta locked up the backup PG role…and Baron is playing with some effort now. So he’ll have to earn his way back…that defensive breakdown against rondo didn’t help.

This is going to be my team, and we're going to rise together.
-Clipper Darrell

by oasisman on Feb 25, 2009 8:10 PM PST up reply actions

true… mardy is playing pretty well tonight and he’s guarding pierce.

by teejnut on Feb 25, 2009 8:12 PM PST up reply actions

with a tired team… just keep it close- eliminate turnovers and play smart… cliche, but possible

by ukdutch on Feb 25, 2009 8:08 PM PST reply actions

mardy is being effective

by edu_argentina on Feb 25, 2009 8:12 PM PST reply actions

they’re killing us with the 3.

by teejnut on Feb 25, 2009 8:15 PM PST reply actions

by teejnut on Feb 25, 2009 8:19 PM PST reply actions

by teejnut on Feb 25, 2009 8:20 PM PST up reply actions

just said if the clippers need him give him a call! lets do it!!!

by teejnut on Feb 25, 2009 8:21 PM PST up reply actions

nice feed from BD to Z.bo for the easy layup

by teejnut on Feb 25, 2009 8:23 PM PST reply actions

so far BD has thought twice about two 3s… instead he pulled it down.

by teejnut on Feb 25, 2009 8:28 PM PST reply actions

so many dressed in green at staples center….. sigh

by shoothoop on Feb 25, 2009 8:30 PM PST reply actions

yeah definately but a bruised shoulder doesnt sound too bad.

but then again knowing the clipper guys and their injuries, who knows how long that will take. but i have faith that gordon will be back to full speed in no time.

This was the Clipper version of a Rocky movie. YES!

by edk3 on Feb 25, 2009 10:15 PM PST reply actions

jones and colllins were stellar tonight.
baron shot over 50% (shot 60% 6-10)
and we played well (for the most part) at the end of the stretch.

now heres to gordon coming back soon and the clippers finishing off the season nicely

by shoothoop on Feb 25, 2009 10:18 PM PST reply actions

Congratulations on a hard fought win

I was honestly for the Celtics though because I don’t want the Lakers to end up with a better record than the Celtics. Good stuff though.

by Golden Boy on Feb 25, 2009 10:27 PM PST reply actions

There you go

Great effort by the Clips. Biggest game of the season by far. I think that a lot of us saw the fact that the Clips had a chance to stay in the game coming, but going through it and coming out with a victory is something else. Fairly epic, in this dismal season.

Wow. Wow. Wow.

The cost is that Gordon might have suffered a serious blow for rookie recognition by both getting off to a slow start tonight, and then getting hurt. But we know that EJ is good enough and solid enough that he’ll bounce right back, and the injury doesn’t seem serious. It was great that they were calling the fouls on those screens—especially since Gordon got taken out of the game on one of them.

Baron played well again, stayed within himself, went to the boards.

Randolph and Camby are a very good combination. And Randolph wasn’t even at his best, going against physical Celts—though no KG is of course a huge factor. But it was obvioius that he was going to get in his licks. Let’s not forget that the Clips didn’t have Thornton or Kaman or, essentially, Gordon.

Fred Jones was awesome. Huge shot, a huge steal, lots of great plays. He makes Ricky Davis look very weak, and he did a great job on D on Ray Allen.

But the game ball goes to Mardy Collins. Unbelievable, going head to head with Paul Pierce. He was effective and played great defense. It worked out for him when his floater fell into Randolph’s hands for the winning basket. He earned it.

by citizen zhiv on Feb 25, 2009 10:28 PM PST reply actions

i would say analysts would downplay our win with the argument of KG missing presence… but mardy collins and paul pierce wow… he stepped it up tonight and i mean a lot

by Final692 on Feb 25, 2009 10:37 PM PST up reply actions

Mardy Collins

Talk about a surprise. That trade with the Knicks got two perfect MDSr. fits in Zach and Mardy.

and some punk named Mannix ripped MDSr for the Z-Bo deal. The paragraph sat next to a photo of Zach in a Clips uni laying up on someone, so obviously the piece was written after Zach had already started to light it up, but it was before the fans really got to see the value in Mardy.

LOL

C’mon Sabonis. I just reminded everyone, what with the Yahooligans coming over. You Blazers fans and your potty mouths!

Good job policing the language citizen highriser!

home game deal against #2 in the east

http://www.clippershq.com has a deal on the Cavs game. The Boston game today looked packed!

yes,

I was at the game, the greatest thing about the game was when the clippers were doing well, the clipper fans would cheer and the celtics fan booed. Then a laker fan would cheer on the clippers and in unison, fans from both team would scream “sit down kobe” “lakers suck”

I can’t believe Collins was running the show?!!
