The Koralev Theorem

I hated the Koralev pick. My friends hated the Koralev pick. We couldn't understand for the life of us why he chose him. Danny Granger wasn't expected to be as good as he is this year, but we still expected 15 PPG, which is about 15 points more per game than Koralev.  Seeing that no one leaped to pick up Koralev when he was finally dropped, I can assume the Clips could have maybe gotten him in second round, which no one would have complained about. If the Clippers take him in the second round, they don't take Daniel Ewing and Dunleavy keeps a taller better defender in when Bell tries the last shot. He misses or it gets blocked and the world is a nicer place.

Not picking Granger led to the Clippers picking Thornton, who has the basketball IQ of a squash. Or the Clippers could have picked Nate Robinson, Linus Kleiza, David Lee, Brandon Bass or Monta Ellis. But I'm straying off my point. I know why Dunleavy picked a kid that no one else wanted with the 12th pick overall.

Yaroslav Korolev is Mike Dunleavy's bastard child from Russia.

Think about it. Dunleavy was tight with Koralev's father and spent a lot of time in Russia. Six months before the draft, they come to him and tell him the deal. The kid is yours and we want money. Dunleavy is tight with a dollar, otherwise he wouldn't buy his suits 3 for 99 dollars. He says, I know, I'll draft the kid and get him 7 figures and he won't ever even have to play. My boss won't know the difference, he's too busy redlining his apartment buildings in Koreatown. And none of our fans will care, we're the Clippers, mistakes are made like this all of the time. It's so crazy it might work.

I'm on to you Dunleavy. I have wanted you fired for a couple years. You can't run a bath, let alone a franchise. The end is coming. Tick...tick....tick....
