clips aren’t going to be as good next year

by highriser on Mar 4, 2009 8:06 PM PST reply actions

conley gets a fractured tooth by baron and is out for the game.

by teejnut on Mar 4, 2009 8:09 PM PST reply actions

maybe thats all they do during practice.

by teejnut on Mar 4, 2009 8:12 PM PST up reply actions

Practice?

“Now I know that I’m supposed to lead by example and all that but I’m not shoving that aside like it don’t mean anything. I know it’s important, I honestly do but we’re talking about practice. We’re talking about practice man. We’re talking about practice. We’re talking about practice. We’re not talking about the game. We’re talking about practice. When you come to the arena, and you see me play, you’ve seen me play right, you’ve seen me give everything I’ve got, but we’re talking about practice right now.” – Allen Iverson

Hey, he’s a FA this year, we should add him, he’ll fit right in.

FA in 2010.

baron with the shimmy… the 3…. and the miss…

by teejnut on Mar 4, 2009 8:15 PM PST reply actions

that 3pt attempt by baron looks so familiar this season

I hope Simmons is right that he’ll have a big year, next year

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh… mike taylor with the reverse one handed jam…. ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh

by teejnut on Mar 4, 2009 8:16 PM PST reply actions

taylor with the and 1 on the break.

by teejnut on Mar 4, 2009 8:17 PM PST reply actions

“Play Defense” would be best.

by edk3 on Mar 4, 2009 8:31 PM PST reply actions

taylor was patient there. got a nice easy shot.

by teejnut on Mar 4, 2009 8:31 PM PST reply actions

I love that bank shot by Taylor

by Michael White on Mar 4, 2009 8:31 PM PST reply actions

urgh taylor misses both FTs

by teejnut on Mar 4, 2009 8:32 PM PST reply actions

taylor is 0-3 and BD is 1-3 at the line.

by teejnut on Mar 4, 2009 8:33 PM PST reply actions

I don’t understand PG’s who can’t make free throws. They are supposed to be shooters! It’s like watching mid-major college point guards

by Michael White on Mar 4, 2009 8:35 PM PST reply actions

BD almost dunked it! got fouled though. he got high enough though!

by teejnut on Mar 4, 2009 8:38 PM PST reply actions

i really don’t understand guys shooting less then 70% on the line… they’re freaking professional basketball players. should be practicing FTs.

by teejnut on Mar 4, 2009 8:39 PM PST reply actions

BD made one of two FT’s. That increased our FG%.

by Michael White on Mar 4, 2009 8:39 PM PST reply actions

we keep getting close… then miss a shot and give up an easy basket on the other end. lets get over the hump!

by teejnut on Mar 4, 2009 8:39 PM PST reply actions

did it again. miss the alley opp to tie it up. give up a basket on the other end now down by 4 again. scratch that BD hits a 3

by teejnut on Mar 4, 2009 8:41 PM PST reply actions

see we did it up by 1 at the half…

by teejnut on Mar 4, 2009 8:42 PM PST reply actions

now if we can do the same in teh 2nd half

by teejnut on Mar 4, 2009 8:43 PM PST reply actions

Al and BD have had a good half… much better then the last game…

by teejnut on Mar 4, 2009 8:45 PM PST reply actions

If the Clippers can beat the Celtics, you can keep the pace!

by edk3 on Mar 4, 2009 8:54 PM PST reply actions

i mean he’s got the same physical tools, and he’s not injured every other game thus far.

by teejnut on Mar 4, 2009 9:24 PM PST reply actions

how about we make some FTs!!! 15-25 so far…

by teejnut on Mar 4, 2009 9:26 PM PST reply actions

so we’re going to improve our chances for the 1st pick…

by teejnut on Mar 4, 2009 9:32 PM PST reply actions

wonder if there are tie-breaker rules for the lottery balls. ie: say we end up with the same record as memphis, will we get more balls since they hold the tie-breaker (assuming we lose this one)?

by teejnut on Mar 4, 2009 9:34 PM PST up reply actions

Coin toss

Lottery balls get split. So for example if sixth has a 6.3% chance to win the lottery, and 7th has a 4.3% chance to win the lottery, and two teams are tied for 6th, they each get a 5.3% chance.

They use a coin toss to determine the position in the event neither team actually wins one of the top three spots.

Unbelieveable

Next game I go to I’m just going to boo our team the entire game. Screw these guys, no effort, we get blown out against a team playing on back to back nights at home.

by ClipperChuck on Mar 4, 2009 10:16 PM PST reply actions

Sadly...

we had to flee the game before it ended again…and sad to say, despite the fact that the Staples Center was half empty, most of the fans had the same idea and left early too…I guess even die hard Clips fans aren’t glutton for punishment. We need to start a Play Loud chant on Saturday when we’re done by 80.

by MichaelCage on Mar 4, 2009 10:57 PM PST reply actions

donny mac and mike eaves at it too.

by andrewexd on Mar 4, 2009 11:05 PM PST reply actions

On the plus side...

there weren’t many Memphis fans around. I think this is the first game all season where we outnumber the opposing team fans…

Also, I could have sworn that Dunleavy was joining in the “Fire Dunleavy” chants early in the fourth quarter…or he could have been calling the same play where Baron dribbles at the top of the key for around 15 seconds then throw the ball to Al on wing so he can try an iso fade away with 3 seconds left. It is a brilliant play. We ran it again and again again. So if that’s the case, I don’t know why Dunleavy has to call it. Maybe he was joining in the “Fire Dunleavy” chants.

by MichaelCage on Mar 4, 2009 11:12 PM PST reply actions

Dunleavy should do the right thing and resign

And on that note, BD should buy us all a beer, Zach should pay for our lap dances and Kaman should pay for dinner. Even Ralph was visibly agitated after the game, I’m probably 1 of 10 people in the world who stuck around to watch this garbage.

FA in 2010.

by ClipperChuck on Mar 4, 2009 11:54 PM PST reply actions

I have tickets next week to the Cavs game

I’ll honestly be rooting for Lebron to drop 101 points on us. Our guys deserve every beating they get.
