It's Happened Again...

The gods have no mercy on us in Clipperland.  Every year we have this glimmer of hope, this sense that next year will be better.  We spend countless hours discussing the potential increase in power of our team, how we can finally become a legitimate threat in the west and a respected team.

Lamar Odom our savior we cried...then he gets injured and abuses the pipe.

Andre Miller to the rescue! ....what a bust

Baron Davis comes to the clips....see above

This year after a horrible...horrible...demoralizing year where most of us hit the point where we swoooore not to be optomistic for next year NO MATTER WHAT....the number one pick and subsequently Blake Griffin falls on our lap.

A decidedly "weak draft" however I think the #1 pick in this draft is not weak...it is the large gap between 1 and 2 which makes it weak.  Arguably Griffin would have been in the top four last year.

Can we help but not get excited AGAIN?!

This is the year the Clips turn around.

Let's just hope Steve Perrin doesn't say it due to his crazy universe inverse thingamaggiger abilities where the opposite of is proclamations come true.

haha too true

We’re always desperately looking for a savior in Clipperland.

Really the savior would be the guy who replaces Sterling.

But for now, I’ll take Blake Griffin!

I remember that issue.

I remember thinking how awesome it was that the Clips were finally getting some national love. That squad had serious swag. I thought our future was so bright.

Yet in true Clippers fashion, it all fell apart.

To be fair, Griffin is FAR BETTER than any of those guys.

True That

I think maybe the best thing we have to look forward to about Griffin is that he’s gonna try his * off, and we already know that EJ will, so the hope is that it’s contagious.

What’s great is that EJ wont be alone anymore.
