Back From Utah
Hello again ClipsNation.
I got back to Long Beach about 1 AM last night. I had a great time in Zion, as usual. I'm planning a big post about the trip, but that will have to wait until later, as I'm behind on more than a few things, including grad school work.
Many thanks to Citizens Zhiv and Mikey P for their fine front page work this week. Looking at the statistics for the week, maybe I should be away more often, since there was a big jump in page views the day I left. (Actually Mikey P figured out something I've known for awhile - write about the Lakers if your goal is to generate hits - the Lakers or Megan Fox.)
Don't expect a massive outpouring of content from me right away. Like I said, I've got some catching up to do. Sorry.
If you're interested, there's a FanShot with pictures from one of the days of my trip.

Welcome back amigo
I love Utah. Will be going thru Park City on my way to Wyoming later this summer.
I have a few (Clippers related) front pagers to post later today or tomorrow, so carry on with the catching up.
(The Megan Fox angle may have some potential, what with TF2 coming out this week).

mikey likes him some Michael Bay and Megan Fox.

Actually
we are a worrisome bunch, but that’s not why a put it in. It’s just a simple scriptiure that I really like and that isn’t overtly Christian for those squeamish about such things. Good advice for all. Don’t waste time with worry, have fun, etc.
Wife and I are geeked about the new Transformers. Will probably see it Wed or Thurs.

Grad school? I thought Clips Nation would be all the schooling you’d ever need, Steve. :p

Welcome back SP
Must be a bit jarring to come out of the canyon and back to the Clippers. Goes without saying, but take your time.
You might want to clean up the latest Summit installment from KA, i.e. put up the actual link. MP would have been able to do that, but it’s obviously beyond my severely limited powers.
Me likey Utah as much as the next guy, and go on an annual Alta trip between Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Will the Lakers sign both Odom and Ariza? Just wondering. That would be kind of depressing.

kobe opts out...
to take less money so they can sign them both???…
where’s the valium?
Roger Sterling: I bet there were people in the Bible walking around, complaining about "kids today."
Don Draper: Kids today, they have no one to look up to. Cuz they're looking up to us.

5/135 means that signing both of them is pretty unlikely…

Canyoneering?
Is spelunking just a part of that? Did you actually do some climbing or rapelling under the bright blue sky? I thought your Mexican trip last year (was it last year?) was a rapelling journey, doing hair-raising descents…

Mostly canyoneering...
The spelunking on this trip was a bit of a detour. Basically, we did a massive day of canyoneering on Monday and another huge day on Wednesday. Thursday was our last day before we had to be back, and we wanted to do something, but we were pretty wiped out. So the Bloomington Cave was something nearby that seemed interesting, but that didn’t involve 10 mile hikes or 3000 feet of elevation gain. But usually I’m under the blue sky, not done in a cave. I’ll post on the overall trip at some point – but Nick didn’t bring his camera on the rappelling bits because of the pace we had to set to get out in time (14.5 hours on the trail Monday and that was moving pretty quickly), so I only have pictures of caves this time around.

I'd like to see those pics...
I’ve done a bit of climbing and bouldering… though the most complex I’ve ever gotten was top-roping, nothing too exotic.
