Just to put the Clippers recent success (or lack there of) in perspective, I was looking at the Clippers Season since the 1999-2000 season (Elton Brands rookie season). From that time through this season, the Chicago bulls have won exactly 317 games, winning only one playoff series. In that same period, the Clippers have won 306 games, with one playoff series win. That means that prior to the disastrous 09 season, the Clippers had a higher winning percentage in that time. The Bulls have made the playoffs 4 times to the Clippers 1, making it twice with only 41 wins (including this season). The comparison is a little bit random, I know, but I think our franchises are looked at in very different lights, in spite of the fact that the teams have paralleled each other for the last 10 years.
The only thing that will change the perception of the Clippers is extended success, and rightfully so. Hopefully they are committed to doing that...I believe they are.
