Clips Summerleaguer named best undrafted

http://www.nbadraft.net/node/8379 names Deonte Christmas one of the best undrafted FA's.

"Perhaps the biggest surprise here. Christmas, a 6-foot-5 lights-out shooter, was projected as an early-second round prospect. His lack of athleticism was probably the thing that knocked him off the draft board, but there is likely still a place for him on an NBA roster. He's got an unorthodox release (but then again so does Michael Redd) which may have concerned teams. He also has great length, elevates well on his jumpshot and, after three years as a starter at Temple, is as ready for the NBA as any second-rounder. The (local - Temple) Sixers recently signed him to their summer league squad."

He's also playing with the Clippers though (after he's done with the SIxers in Orlando), but maybe he'll cancel if the Sixers offer him a guarateed deal.

On a side note: Yaric (you know the guy w/t Bugs Bunny Tie: former Clipper Hope Yaroslav Korolev) is on the Knicks roster (Along with Skeeta and Sene, it's quite the Bust-fest over there). I'm still rooting for the guy. It's not his fault Dunleavy Sr. likened him to his son and drafted him over Danny 'Supposed Knee issues" Granger. I see Korolev as a poor man's Turkoglu (as in Sudan-poor, not "I can only afford 2 IPODs-poor").

Pippen

DraftExpress said Korolev’s best case scenario was Scottie Pippen :/

I think it’s safe to say, he’s not reaching that potential. ugh.

Really?

I always thought people compared him to AK47.

Safe to say we didn’t really get a weapon at all. Maybe a BBgun at most?

no

spider man is better than that. A broken, deformed can of silly string that doesn’t shoot, just drips foam from the side of the can.

Final Analogy:

Andre Kirelienko is to the AK47 what Yoroslav Korolev is to a broken, deformed can of silly string that doesn’t shoot, but instead drips foam from the side of the can. And therefore, Dunleavey has decided he is better than Danny Granger :(

Mike Dunleavy might still possibly think that...

The guy was in love with that kid. What a waste of a draft pick. Didn’t even belong in the 2nd round.

Are you insane???????

Yoroslav Korolev>Danny Granger? A huge bust>A wonderful young talent? Are you buying from the same dealer as MDSr and DTS???

Games Granger missed last season:

15

Games Korolev missed: 0

Think about it.

Seems to me that your possibly looking at the glass half full...

now how about we compare the games each players played last season instead? (;

Now John R is on record supporting MDSr's choice of Korolev over Granger

He’ll say anything to defend MDSR.

Look at the above post – apparently John R thinks Korolev plays in the NBA. Otherwise, what’s the relevance of his statement?

John R – I missed 0 NBA games last year too. I guess MDSr should have picked me over Granger too.

I’m beginning to get concerned about John R’s sanity.

If Deonte Christmas is any good, we could have ourselves a strong talent instead of working to get Prince, Battier, or Ariza.

Clearify this for me

Wasn’t Xmas a sg? (With the emphasis on shooting?) Can Xmas defend?

if he plays D, he'll play

Xmas is a SG, he’s long but I don’t remember playing d in college. However, I don’t remember Ronnie Brewer playing D in college, too. Xmas reminds me of better shooter than Brewer, but not as athletic.

XMAS may never play for us

He’s also part of the 76ers summer league team in Orlando and he’ll join our team when that one finishes. If the 76ers like him they may just offer him a contract which would kill our chance at him.

MM..

This is a toughy. Fred Jones is older, not as good as a shooter, and is smaller.
Xmas is a rooke, not really athletic, and isn’t a strong defender.

Either way, I hope Jones is back.
