Around SBN: Carmelo Anthony, Amar'e Stoudemire Vow To Fit In With Lin

Citizen Lawler's Law found an in-depth pre-draft article about Clippers summer league invitee Dionte Christmas. Speaking of Christmas, he's also playing in the Orlando Summer League, on a combined Sixers/Nets squad. He scored 2 points in 16 minutes today.

nice headline L. Law :)

Excited to see what this kid can do, hopefully he’ll get some playing time. Does anyone know if the games will be streamed or televised yet?

All i know is its like the first title “Watch Harden now”( or somewhere along those lines.) Also, I believe it loads onto your windows media player, as im currently watching on windows media.

It could possibly be OKC

since Shaun Livingston just dunked. (“His knee looks fine on that one.” -announcer.) btw, the announcers suck.

True that. The announcers are talking about "Shamwow";

shoot me now. The only thing that seems to be worth watching is Ryan Anderson, Russel Westbrook, James Harden, BJ Mullens, and Shaun Livingston. The rest of the players don’t seem to be doing anything.

Sound Like He's Being Considered As Insurance For Novak

Interesting article. Sounds like if he makes it in the NBA, its in the same niche as Novak. Perhaps the Clippers are considering him in case Novak gets and offer they don’t want to match.

I thought the saying was with big man...

“You can never have too many big man.”

Which is it really Steve, and which would you have rather have an overexcessive of?

Those kind of sayings are so lame

Of course you can have too many shooters or too many bigs, its like saying you can never have too much money or too much dessert.

It really depends on the makeup of the team, a team filled with one dimensional shooters will not win many games, same as a team with offensive challenged bigs etc.

That said if I had to choose the 15th guy on the bench I’d pick a big because you could always use the fouls.

What a beautiful sentence

Keep swinging, JdS. We get it.

by citizen zhiv on Jul 6, 2009 6:54 PM PDT up reply actions

Was that sarcasm?

If not, ty, but this it wasn’t really an attack to Steve what-so-ever. Just thought that I would rather have more bigs than shooters.

That was encouragement

And a bit of amusement, but all with a good spirit. Zhiv’s not known for being sarcastic.

Never have too many...

You can never have too many shooters, bigs, athletes, defenders…. The truth is, the one thing you can’t have too many of is athletic bigs who can shoot and defend…. but seriously, if I were building a team everyone would have to be able to shoot. I hate watching a team play 5 on 4, and it’s hard to win that way (although Detroit won a championship with Ben Wallace, so what do I know).

I agree

I feel bad for the guy. What did Aaron Gray ever do to deserve this?

Anyways, Congrats to Fazekas. He was awesome as a Clipper. If only he was able to stay in our D-League. The guy always worked hard.

David Thorpe is twittering at Orlando Summer League

He’s going to have great words for any players who pay for his summer camp and list them on top of the Rookie 50 list

My guess is that Earl Clark is number 1, followed by Dejuan blair and Terrance Williams.

The announcers for summer league were quite amusing while horrible at the same time.

Aaron Gray this, Shamwow guy that...

I have to admit that they were probably better than Laker’s announcers, that’s for sure.

I think one of the guys is begging for the game to end.

How do we even send them an email?

They always talk about recieving an email and reading them outloud. I want to send them one about how much shit comes out of their mouths.

this league looks worse than the rec league i used to play at during my college years

can’t the nba chip in for a decent gym? I think UNLV is a lot more high end…
