Good for Q
That’s the kind of team he belongs on. A winner where his specific (and very limited) abilities would be appreciated in spot minutes.
QRoss shouldn’t be playing 25 minutes a game. But on a playoff team, he can be useful for 10 minutes or so.
The ESPN headline
“Mavs sign defensive, 3-point specialist Ross.” 3-point specialist? Really?
In this world, you must be oh so smart or oh so pleasant. Well, for years I was smart. I recommend pleasant. - Elwood P. Dowd
He shot
38% last year. Not a specialist, damn better than he ever shot with the clips.

I had the same question as Steve.
A 3 point specialist? I always thought that Ross shot best at the corner, anywhere else on the floor and he seemed like a sure brick. I guess this is where Jax will say stats can be deceiving as that 38% is not the Ross that any of us seem to remember. I remember watching Ross getting hot on open shots, but I also remember Ross missing open shots also…
Mike Smith on Eric Gordon: "The Clippers may have found their go to scorer."
On a second note, I want Novak back!
I am sure Ross can make shots
but in no way is he a 3 point specialist. I have memories of Q ross bricking wide open mid range shots all game but usually he didn’t shoot much because he knew he couldn’t make them.
In Gordon we trust
