And a light shone down upon the chosen one, and yea verily I say unto you the fans did see that it was good, and there was much rejoicing in Clips Nation, and He did strike fear into the hearts of our enemies.

Sometimes

When I get bored during this off season, I have forgotten how lucky we are that this future superstar (yep I think he’ll be a number 1 franchise player, not a number 2) has fallen into our laps!
We could have got Thabeet!!!!!

Bingo! Oh me oh my!

Is is just me

Or is he standing in the middle of some sort of basketball Pythagorean pentagram?

And the chosen one, bathed in light, entered the darkness and confronted the curse…

LOL

He’s actually the last descendant of Christ as discussed in the recent Tom Hanks film. God has explained to him that he must solve the Clippers’ issues if he wants to take his rightful place because no one else can, which is why God manipulated the ping pong balls so the Clippers would get the pick.

I understand (from Zhiv) that the photo above was taken in a completely dark room at 11 pm. There is no logical explanation for the light.

Interesting short story when out in Las Vegas.

My wife and two daughters couldn’t get into the autograph line in time, so we hung out in front of the table where Blake was to sign. When he got there, he had a big ice bag strapped onto his shoulder and we took a few pics. About 15 feet away, Taylor was hanging around with his girl friend (looked a little downtownish if you know what I mean) who was clad in jeans and some really high heals. My girls got Taylor’s autograh and I mentioned to my wife that she should go over and say hi to Blake’s mom. Blake and Taylor were home schooled for several years, as were my daughters. My wife did just that and thanked Mrs. G for helping give home schooling a good name. Mrs. G told my wife that was sweet of her to say so and they talked a while. At the next day’s game, Mr and Mrs G sat just a few rows above us and Mrs G smiled at my daughters and waived as we all left after the game. So, it’s easy to say that Blake is our favorite Clipper of all time even though he hasn’t played a minute of regular season play. By the way, the dad is really put together, too. As a final note as my daughters were scrambling into position to get Taylor’s autograph, my oldest daughter unexpectedly and literally bumped into our 2nd favorite Clipper of all time- good old Sam, who was coach the Wiz during summer league. I thought the Clips should have added Sam to the coaching staff. I thought that was the future plan in 2006.

Great shot of the messiah...

But wait....

He still has to find the 7th dragon ball!

Dragon Ball is lame lol

And Dunleavy prayed to the patron saint of basketball Wilt Chamberlain “giveth to me a way to save my career and I will giveth you my soul” and then the clippers won the lottery and an image of Blake Griffin flew down from the heavens and appeared in ring of light and proclaimed your career is saved.

dragon ball _the movie_ is lame

;-)

"This kid is the best new talent in the league right now, and I don't care who else you mention." -Suns Coach, Alvin Gentry, on Clippers rookie sensation, Eric Gordon.

Gordon is the real key to lift the Clips. Grif is Robin to Gordon’s Batman.

by RockyMountain on Aug 10, 2009 10:26 PM PDT reply actions

I would think it is the other way

Griffin is batman to Gordon’s robin. Gordon has more of the side kick attitude anyways.

wasn’t there an interview somewhere that gordon was superman?

so it would be batman and superman?
BG and EJ

and AT was ghostrider?
but wasnt DeAndre going to call himself batman? i think it was early in his blog when we was comparing himself to Dwight Howard
(i actually was the first to tell him about that comparison to him! and he’s been going on about it ever since)

Yeah but I think Gordon should stay away from super man

it will just piss off shaq. Gordon other nickname is also the Hobbit but I don’t think that is what he wants it to be.

how about the avengers?

they are avenging the clippers playoff hopes
BG = Captain America
EJ = Iron Man
DJ = Thor? or the Hulk?

or there’s always ninja turtles
BG = leader = Leonardo
EJ = mean (as DJ said in the beginning of the season = Rafael
DJ = fun = Michelangelo
?? = smart = Donatello. ….who could this be?

haha sorry i think I’ve gone off topic. Ok, I’m done with the superhero connections.

by KidJustin on Aug 11, 2009 9:19 AM PDT up reply actions

I think the Ninja Turtles work...

Dunleavy is the perfect Master Splinter…in looks, at least.

by Zer0 on Aug 11, 2009 12:04 PM PDT up reply actions

donatello = bassy?

his bball iq shows with his crazy passes.

donatello creatues machines. bassy creates plays.

by jon y on Aug 11, 2009 3:15 PM PDT up reply actions

or i guess baron fits that description.

is it bad that bassy popped into my head before baron?

by jon y on Aug 11, 2009 3:16 PM PDT up reply actions

i was thinking the exact same thing...

i shot DJ an e-mail…maybe itll be in his next blog

i asked him who his opinion would be for the smart Donatello

by KidJustin on Aug 11, 2009 3:20 PM PDT up reply actions

Not superheros, but:

AT – Athos

EG – Porthos

BG – Aramis

DJ – D’Artagnan

Cynosure

Good word of the day, perfectly appropriate for the BG bathed in ethereal light.

by citizen zhiv on Aug 11, 2009 2:19 PM PDT reply actions

that would be great

…if the posed like that together after a big play… clutch 3 at the buzzer…what ever…. they’d have to clap and point just like hanz and franz
