just saw Ralph's FB post about this!
i hope this gives BD incentive to keep us in the race around that time of year! Christmas has come early this year boys!
Roger Sterling: I bet there were people in the Bible walking around, complaining about "kids today."
Don Draper: Kids today, they have no one to look up to. Cuz they're looking up to us.
I'll start the complaining
1st Game: At the Lakers, which ordinarily wouldn’t be significant except the game is being played in Miami.
The very next night; home game against Phoenix. One day off, then at Utah on Friday, then back home the next night against Dallas.
That’s a whole lot of miles to travel to begin the season. A cross country flight on back to back games, and 4 games in 5 days.
why FL?

This is actually the third straight year they messed up the schedule. Last year we played Golden State in Phoenix. They’ll fix it.
Correct
I remember seeing that early on the schedule last year.. They will fix it, and it will be Clippers vs. Lakers, in LA.
'Cause how you play, is how you'll be remembered. PLAY LOUD!

Why do we have to get a big slap in the face
Why do we have to watch the 30 min ceremony, the fake Kobe hugs and hear the announcers discuss the lakers throughout the first game?! Couldn’t we play OKC first, F’ You Stern.
Why are we playing our 1st game in Miami?
and why do we always start against the Lakers.
In Gordon we trust
Why not start in Russia
I remember a period of 2 years where we started the Season against Seattle in Tokyo or China
It will be in LA...
The early schedules are always screwed up.

Why does the CLipper site
Say we are playing in the Staples Center for the 1st game
I think we are probably a schedule mistake
Someone said the NBA made the same mistake last year.

Looking at the schedule more
the clips also have 3 long road trips, they have two 5 game road trips and one 7 game road trip as Ralph would say me oh my.
The first road trip starts Dec 14 against Minnesota and ends Christmas day at Phx (the Griffin brothers get to be together on Xmas) the trips also features back to back games in Texas one against the Spurs and one against the Rockets
The 2nd road trip is the mother of all road trip a 7 game one that starts Jan. 21st in Denver and ends Feb 3rd in Atlanta. only tough game in the stretch though seems to be mid way through against Cleveland
The last road trip starts March 6th in Utah and ends March 13th against the Spurs.

No Games on local TV??
The schedule has only the 8 nationally telivised games available on tv with no CW or Fox Sports carrying the rest of the games.

The FSPT games will be announced at a later date...
They always make that schedule later.

I hope it's 830 klaa
they have the Angels and Ducks broadcasts…they might get the Clips on the cheap and bring back Lee Klein as pre/halftime/post game show…

Lee is on late night 10pm-1am on am 830...been sort of positive about the clips since KO was drafted...

Nope
They made similar mistakes last season with the last game of the year. It should be corrected soon.

I love that we have more
nationally televised games this year, even though half of them are against the Lakers or Suns. I was totally surprised to see that we’ll be on national tv for Christmas. I just hope that the team is healthy and plays hard in those games so that we’re not embarrassed.
6 game road trip in December
8 game road trip late-January through early-February
5 game road trip in March
Ouch. January 21st through March 13th has 17 of 26 games on the road.
That’s kind of rough.
I believe the 8 game trip is probably
due to the Grammys. We always have long stretch of road games because we need to be out of staples so that they can set up for the Grammys.
