Why this year will be one of the best for the NBA.

This year will be one of the best in the NBA because of all the contracts that are going to be up.  The names and the numbers for free agents this year is ridiculous yet very exciting.  We all know that the year when players contracts are up they always have a good year. 

For Example Baron Davis: The year he took the warriors to the 2nd round of the playoffs and beat the Mavs as the 8th seed.  That year was not a coincidence. lol

Players always have breakout years when there contracts are up and with the names like Lebron,Wade,Bosh, we know all the top all stars that are free agents, but there is a long list of role players.  Look at all this years free agents some like, David Lee, Nate Robinson, CJWatson, Raymond Felton etc.  They will be back out on the market  in a year.  Most of free agents this year will be again adding more players for breakout years. 

But as we have heard about the salary cap will be lowered, this will entice players to play harder even more. 

But another thing is that look at the depth at the top of those new power rankings.  Look at the top 5.

Lakers- have to be considered the favorite with the addition of the Artest and they are the champs.

But they have some tough competition.

Magic- They to me only got better and now they are more experienced.

Celtics- Adding Rasheed Wallace and Marquis Danials to a team that already won a championship.

Spurs-Parker,Manu,Tim,Richard,Mason Jr, thats a team that has to be a championship contender.

Cavs- They are always in the finals weather its east finals or nba finals add in Anthony Parker, Shaq and more depth.  Also Shaq got it done with kobe and wade why cant he get it done with lebron, he still has at least 2 years left look at his last year performance.

Look at the teams fighting for a playoff spot. To me The west stands like this.

1.Lakers

2. Spurs

3.Mavs

4.Blazers

5.Nuggets

This isn't in any particular order its just i think these 5 teams are PLAYOFF LOCKS.

These teams are in the hunt for 6th 7th and 8th seeds.

Warriors, Suns, Clippers, Jazz, Hornets, Rockets are in the hunt for those seeds.

The following teams are lottery teams

Grizzlies, Thunder, Twolves, Kings,

But all the lottery teams look stronger/better grizz are like to me the clipps from last year i predict them to have chemistry problems, injurys bugs and not enough shots.

The east is loaded with talent as well especially at the top .

I think this will be one of the best nba seasons in a while because of the upcoming contracts and because of the depth for the playoff race in both conferences
