A Look Into the Future

It's game 7 of the Western Conference Finals, Lakers vs Clippers in an epic hallway series.

Blake Griffin is the rookie of the year and with MVP candidate Eric Gordon, and Most Improved played of the year, Al Thornton has become a big 3 combination that has been nicknamed the 3 Headed Dragon by ESPN. Baron Davis taking a backseat to the 3 youngsters showed great leadership capabilities and motivation and was able to control his team through thick and thin. Kamen stayed healthy for the entire year and is back to his Kamen 2.0 days. The bench has never been stronger with DeAndre Jordan named 6th Man of the year, Ricky Davis becoming a great locker room guy to have around, Sebastion Telfair showing great point guard skills that Sessions was never needed in the Clippers, and Novak/Butler coming in whenever a bunch of 3 pointers need to be made. MDsr even took the Phil Jackson approach and just sits there while Baron Davis leads his team.

The team went through trials and tribulations throughout the season and the playoffs just to get to this point in time.  By fighting hard in a stacked conference, they were able to sneak their way into the 7th seed of the Western Conference.  They started out the postseason by eliminating the Spurs in a series that no one thought they could have won.  But Tim Duncan's age was showing and Blake Griffin was able to take advantage of it.  The next round though was against the Blazers, another strong team.  But our 3 headed dragon destroyed the Blazers with a 4 game sweep.  The next and biggest challenge was the Lakers though, the cross team rivals that was favorites to win the whole thing.  But the Clippers handled the challenge and took the epic series to the final seconds.

Game 7 of the Western Conference finals, there are only 12 seconds left in the game and the Lakers are up by 2 points and it is their ball right now. Shannon Brown inbounds the ball to Ron Artest whose been having trouble because of Al Thornton's incredible defense on him. Ron Artest, seeing desperation, tosses the ball to Kobe Bryant, only for Baron Davis to quickly steal the ball from him Ariza style.

Baron quickly calls their last timeout. Thornton voluntarily puts himself on the bench so Butler, the better 3 point shooter can come in. The game resumes with 4 seconds left, Blake Griffin on center, Gordon/Novak/Butler spreading the floor, and Baron Davis inbounding. With none of the 3 point threats opened, Baron passed it to Blake Griffin who instantly gets a double team. But this left Eric Gordon opened who Blake passed it to. EJ quickly fired the 3 with the clock running out and makes it! The Clippers just defeated the defending champions and are now going to Finals to face Lebron and his Cavs.

LOL

Very, Very optimistic, but I like it. Although I don’t get how our players can have such accomplishments and we only “sneak” by with a 7th seed.

lol

I know that didn’t make sense but I put that in more because I know for sure the 7th or 2nd seed plays 1st seed in the WCF. I forgot how the matchup order went with the middle seeds

Maybe it's a bad thing

That that sounded incredibly funny.

But the way it starts off…Blake Griffin, Rookie of the Year, and Eric Gordon, MVP candidate sounded very believable. With normal injury luck, we have to be a pretty good team next year.

It lost all reality when

you mentioned Ricky Davis and great locker room guy in the same sentence. But hey maybe can happen (knocking on wood so hard my knuckles bleed)

In Gordon we trust

You cauld have 'Ricky Davis' and great locker room guy" in the same sentence:

like Ricky Davis will never be a great locker room guy
or because of Ricky Davis, Mark Madsen, a great locker room guy, was waived

this fools tripping.

Why Shannon Brown inbounding the ball

when they still have Jordan Farmar? I would think that in a crunch situation, the Lakers would rather use Farmar over Brown assuming by that time Fisher is retired?

I honestly

never liked Farmar and I want Shannon Brown to have a career year this year

I thought about this before too

its usually either this or Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Megan Fox and Mila Kunis make a guest appearance. Unfortunately just as things start to heat up my alarm goes off and reality punches me in the face. Ow.

so the awards we win this coming year

ROY: Girffin
MIP: Thornton
6th Man: DeAndre
Western Conference Champs
bragging rights title as “Kings of LA” (not LA Kings hockey…)

and potentially
MVP: Gordon
NBA Champs
such a turnaround would also merit COY too right?

did we just pick up all the awards in one year? maybe we’ll also be 2 time dance team bracket winners.

does Ricky Davis’ personality change also lead to a sportsmanship award!?

Is Marcus Camby going to be defensive player of the year also?

well according to the story...

Al Thornton’s incredible defense on (Ron Artest)”

might mean he brings home two pieces of hardware this coming season.

UM...

Was this your first assignment in creative writing 101 now that school has started? (Although I do like the story).

When we win the NBA Championship, it will be that much sweeter!

ahah

no, so far for my creative writing class, I haven’t had any writing assignments, just a bunch of other material to read before I start writing. And I would’ve used better grammar if it was for my writing class. This was just for fun and out of boredom.

Fair play

we expect a creative writing assignment from you peterghost at the end of the semister/ quarter (probably semister since most quarter system hasn’t started yet. Also, don’t forget to report it here in ClippsNation. hahaa.

No,

I rather pay Mark Madesen to dance at our victory parade.

Whenever LA win, Mark Madsen comes along.

All I have to add is:

For the first time in the playoffs, Al Thornton struggles getting into the paint, but shows his great passing skills, tying his career-high with 10 assists, falling 1 rebound short to a triple double. Gordon also has 7 assists, while Baron is on fire, scoring 37, with 5 assists and 5 steals, diving for lose balls a couple of times

by kingofrnb on Sep 9, 2009 11:06 AM PDT reply actions

and of course, Jordan is 5/5 from the line

Blake Griffin averaging 3 blocks a game anyone?
