PrintIs Blake Griffin next Greg Oden? What do you guys think? Personally, I think Blake Griffin is a bust. By the way, on the bright side, I think Dunleavy's doing a fantastic job, the clippers are winning more than I expected and with injured players too. At this rate, I think we'll definitely make the playoffs... or not. Dunleavy's a great coach and he gets my vote for coach of the year.

yes he really did. There wont be a next time. I gotta remember people on here will ALWAYS say and do things just to get attention. People not associated with clipsnation. I regret sinking down that level of frustration......
He truly wasn’t worth the 5 minutes i spent typing that. plus, the fact that he basically is clowning us just sent me over with anger. Im not wasting my time on him anymore. If he comes back to reply, i’m killing it. He’s dead to me now. Im back to my humble self now….i’ll probably hit the gym to get the smell of this 2 game winning streak off of me but im not mad anymore at the foolio. However, clips losing tonight :-(…….and that has gotten me down in the dumps again. They probably lost cuz fatigue kicked in…..freakin dunleavy…..

i’ve heard that john wall is the type who might have “issues” as far as entourage and the like.

blake doesn’t have that problem. not to mention blake seems like the hardest working kid in the world. i wouldn’t trade blake for wall.

Hard to believe BlakeOden was being sincere.
Polls have shown that the approval rating of Dunleavy is pretty low in the Clipper Nation, and that the vast majority feels that Blake is anything but a bust. So, therefore, it’s extremely unlikely (though not impossible) for a “fan” to both love Dunleavy’s coaching, to the point of nominating him coach of the year, and to simultaneously think that Blake is a waste of time. Especially in the same post.
You honestly think that this guy is both a Clips fan, and that is just innocently stating his opinion? That seems a little naive to me, then. I’m all for freedom of speech and giving one’s personal opinion, but making juxtaposed posts on a well traveled forum (when they are obviously going to frustrate already hurting fans) is just petty. The picture was just icing on the cake. You’re saying you really condone that crap?
But hey, that’s just my opinion about this post.

Like I stated before, he didn’t try to mask the post in any way, shape or form. It’s clearly written as his opinion and in doing so, he asks for other’s opinions on whether they view Blake as a bust or not. There’s nothing personal in it’s content. It’s not an attack. So for the poster to be physically threatened with an internet beating and to be name-called by people safely ensconced behind theircollective computer monitors is pathetic at best. I’d hate to think that such childish and ridiculous behavior is representative of “Clipper Nation”. The idea that a segment of “tough guy” punks can assume control of a PUBLIC forum like an SBNation blog (regardless of which team it favors) and run off anyone who doesn’t cow-tow to what they want to hear is pretty embarrasing.
And as far as “condoning that crap”…. who am I to say? I’m a reader and poster just like he is. I don’t own this place. Words don’t hurt me. Neither does a photograph. You feel like he should have used Blake’s team photo instead of an injury shot which actually fits better with the content of the post? That’s fine, I guess.

Isn’t it a little insensitive for someone to create a brand new account and post a single entry that is clearly just to get a rise out of people? Again, I really don’t think this is as innocent as you make it out to be.
I agree with you on that.
But again, it’s only words by someone that may or may not have come on strictly to antagonize.
In the bigger picture, there have been many, many worse examples of people coming on this site strictly to cheap shot and “troll” that didn’t get anywhere near the vitriol and disturbingly angry and violent responses that this fairly innocuous post received.

How about posting text with no picture at all. i understand threatening someone i would never see over the web is childish. He could’ve at least maybe put a disclaimer so people won’t take the post the wrong way. Anyways, you have your opinion and i have mine. I completely agree with you. I even made a new account just to prove my point. Blake Griffin showed a glimpse of what he could have provided to the Clippers in the Preseason, yet he’s been hurt for throughout the season. He is no better than Greg Oden himself
