It seems worth it to reexamine this idea every once in a whiel. Ever since David Kahn selected Ricky Rubio with the fifth pick in the 2009 NBA draft a lot of us have wondered if Minnesota would be willing to give up Rubio for the Wolves protected number one pick now owned by the Clips (that will become unprotected in 2012).
A few things have changed recently: RR didn't play well int he world championships in Turkey and Spain went out surprisingly early. Then, last week, he scored zero points when the Lakers played FC Barcelona. To make things even more interesting Rubio recently declared that he'd play just one more season in Europe and is "ready for the NBA".
So, for the sake of argument, would you give up the vaunted number one Minny pick for the now somewhat tarnished Ricky Rubio? I'll stick a poll on the end of this, but I'm really more interesting in hearing opinions on why or why not.
